As a minimum, a low-risk workplace such as a small office should have a first-aid box and a person appointed to take charge of first-aid arrangements, such as calling the emergency services if necessary. Employers must provide information about first-aid arrangements to their employees.

Workplaces where there are more significant health and safety risks are more likely to need a trained first-aiderfaqs. A first-aid needs assessment will help employers decide what first aid arrangements are appropriate for their workplace.

Life-saving bleed control kits installed outside London pubs

A grandmother has been raising funds to install life-saving first aid kits in public areas.

Our two day Level 2 Award in First Aid at Work Requalification course is the required training for first aiders at work who need to renew their First Aid at Work qualification.

This course re-qualifies first aiders for another 3 years.

First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years.

In accordance with UK HSE regulations all delegates undertaking this requalification course must be in possession of their First Aid at Work certificates. It must not have expired beyond the expiry date as shown on their First Aid at Work Certificate. If the certificate has expired then it will be necessary for the delegate to attend a full 3-day First Aid at Work course.
