About me and my work
I provide massage therapy, reflexology and Bowen Technique. work mostly in the Mid Devon area between Tiverton, Crediton and Chulmleigh but can go further afield if needed.
I used to work in the NHS as an registered nurse and although I think the conventional, medical-based health model is amazing, (and incidentally I believe strongly we should treasure and nurture our NHS, not allow sections of it to be passed over to private companies) I became increasingly aware that there are other therapeutic treatments or interventions that can be really helpful as well, and that a holistic approach to healthcare is the way to go. I am passionate about what I do, and would love to see more awareness of the benefits of complementary therapies within the NHS.
My qualifications are
VTCT level 3 Diploma ; swedish massage, sport/remedial massage, Indian head massage, aromatherapy, reflexology.
ECBS (College of Bowen Studies) certificate of proficiency.
I am enthusiastic about Continuing Professional Development - I am continually learning from my clients and I regularly research and read therapy related articles. I have completed several post- qualification Bowen practitioner workshops and additional massage training days over the years.
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
