We want to say a huge thank you to our neighbours at Crewe FC for stepping up, stepping in and supporting our Supported Adults Service at The George’s Community Hub.

This newly formed collaboration already means so much to us, and the surprise collection of gifts from the team was incredibly kind and genuinely touching. We are so grateful for the time, care and generosity shown by everyone involved.

Our little neighbourhood in the West End of Crewe is growing, and the way we are coming together feels really special and quite unique. It’s support like this that reminds us why community matters so much.

Wishing all our guests, friends, and families a very happy New Year 🥳

Huge thanks to our partners whose support and investment have played such an important part in making this year such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

I am so proud to lead our Supported Adults Service, and unbelievably proud of the team (Deb, Gez, Lucy, Lindsay, Tracey) who show up every day to create a safe, inclusive and welcoming space where people feel valued and supported.

The closing date for the Tesco Blue Token Scheme is fast approaching and it ends on 31 December.

There’s still time to pick up a token on your next Tesco visit and drop it into the The Wishing Well Project slot to support our work.

🎄 Celebrating Christmas at Crewe Hall 🎄

What a wonderful way to bring the year to a close for our The Wishing Well Project, Supported Adults Service.

We celebrated Christmas in style with a truly festive lunch at the magnificent Crewe Hall.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding and faultless. Incredible food and impeccable service from the hospitality team. This is what makes Crewe Hall such a special venue, and why we are so proud to be their Charity Partner.

The day started with our Wishing Well Board of Directors meeting, generously hosted at Crewe Hall, before board members joined us for lunch.

It was a great opportunity to come together, reflect on the year, and celebrate what we’ve achieved.

Sharing Christmas gifts 🎁, laughter, and good conversation around the table made the occasion even more special.

We’re proud to be working alongside Crewe Hall under the leadership of Kerry Allan, General Manager, Alannah Elliott & Nicole Green
whose commitment to partnership and quality shines through in every detail.

Thank you to Crewe Hall, to our board members for their continued support, and to our incredible SAS staff who go above and beyond to deliver a high quality service, not just at Christmas, but 50 weeks of the year 🌟.

An Afternoon That Brought Us Together 🤝🎄

Our festive afternoon tea brought supported adults and their parents together for the first time, and it was a truly special afternoon. From initial introductions to shared conversations, a real sense of connection and togetherness began to grow.

What people don’t always see are the vulnerabilities and challenges our team faces every single day. Much of this work happens quietly and is often misunderstood. We meet those challenges with care and compassion, making sure every guest feels safe, supported, and welcomed into an environment that feels warm and familiar, like home.

The feedback from the afternoon has been incredibly positive, and it’s something we will build on in 2026.

We ended the day with a game of boccia, filled with laughter and shared joy. I’m incredibly proud of everything the Supported Adults Service (SAS) team does and all that we’ve achieved this year. It deserves to be shouted from the rooftops, because it’s genuinely something very special 😊

🎅Teamwork in action 🤝

Walking the streets with Santa this year was something really special. The smiles, the excited faces, and the pure joy from the children reminded us exactly why this matters.

A huge shout out to Santa Float - Crewe Rotary, who once again do an incredible job bringing sparkle and festive magic to our community. From bucket shaking to singing our hearts out and cheering Santa along, it was a real team effort.

This is what teamwork looks like 🤝. When our SAS team step in and give something back to the wider community, it’s moments like these that make our community such a special place to be ❤️

🌟Meet Ethan, Our Fundraising Champion🌟

We are incredibly proud to share Ethan’s story.

Ethan, who accesses our Supported Adults Service (SAS) at The Wishing Well Project, recently took on an amazing challenge. He swam the equivalent lengths of the English Channel, Dover to Calais to raise funds for the Supported Adult Service activities.

The swim was made possible with the brilliant support of Seahorse Swimming Club CREWE, led by Gareth Roberts and his dedicated team. Together, they supported Ethan every step of the way as he worked towards an incredible total of 1,408 lengths at Everybody Health & Leisure, Crewe Lifestyle Centre.

What makes this even more special is Ethan’s commitment. Week after week, he showed up, put in the hard work, and never gave up. His determination and focus have inspired everyone around him.

Ethan’s mum, Jayne, shared this with us:
“Ethan has made both myself and his dad very proud with his determination week after week.”

Ethan has now raised £380 for Wishing Well Supported Adults Service. An incredible achievement and a true reflection of the kind, generous person he is. He really is an outstanding young man with a heart of gold, and he certainly has our hearts.

✨A collaboration of kindness ✨

Our relationship with Everybody Crewe West next to The George’s Community Hub has grown from a simple conversation into a genuine collaboration built on shared values and trust.

Over many years we have worked side by side in the community, and the recent transition of the Everybody site has strengthened the connection. This partnership has led to meaningful support for the Wishing Well Toy Appeal, with every donation going directly to local children and families from our Start Well at The Wishing Well Community Hub and neurodiverse adults who attend The George’s Community Hub. Sharing the love and support across Wishing Well Services 🥰

Wishing Well’s mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of local people. Wishing Well and Everybody Crewe West share the same commitment to supporting our community, which is why this first year of working together feels so important.

We are grateful to Everybody Crewe West and their colleagues from Everybody Health & Leisure for their generosity and support. This partnership will help shape our future development, and it shows
