This really spoke to me today.

Sometimes when someone hasn’t been in touch, it isn’t because they don’t care, it’s because life feels a bit too much and their capacity is low.

I see this so often, and can subconsciously do it myself.

When people go quiet, it’s rarely about not wanting connection. It’s usually about being overwhelmed, about even the smallest things feeling heavy.

We can easily slip into who messaged who last, or turn relationships into quiet point-scoring. But that isn’t where care lives.

If you’re thinking of someone, send the message.

And if you don’t have the energy right now, that’s OK too.

Let’s choose kindness over assumptions, and gentleness over keeping score 💜💜

✨ A gentle reminder for the New Year ✨

As a new year begins, it’s easy to feel pressure to be better, do more, or finally get it right. However, let’s be realistic, life doesn’t work in clean chapters or perfect resolutions.

You don’t need a brand new year to start again.

You can restart on a Tuesday.
After a difficult conversation.
In the middle of a messy week.
Or simply when you notice you’re tired of carrying something alone.

Growth isn’t linear. Healing isn’t fast……and motivation doesn’t arrive on a schedule.

Some days, progress looks like making changes.
Other days, it looks like resting, surviving or choosing self-compassion instead of self-criticism.

So if January doesn’t feel magical… that’s okay.

If you’re still carrying last year with you… that’s human.

And if you need to begin again, you can do that at any moment, not just on January 1st.

Be gentle with yourself this year.

You’re allowed to take it one small, imperfect step at a time.

✨ As this year comes to a close… ✨

I’m taking a moment to reflect with gratitude.

Thank you to every client who trusted me with their story this year, it has been, and still is, a privilege to walk alongside you and witness the courage it takes to show up and do the work.

I’m grateful for my own growth, the lessons learned, and the ways this year has quietly shaped me.

And to friends and family - thank you for the constant support, encouragement, patience, reminders of self-care and care behind the scenes.

As we close this chapter, I am holding a lot of gratitude, not because the year was perfect, but because it was meaningful and shared.

Wishing everyone a gentle end to the year 🤍

A reminder this Christmas: Be Kind To Yourself 🤍

Christmas can bring joy, connection and warmth, but it can also bring pressure, expectations, grief, exhaustion and complicated feelings.

Whatever feelings that you are experiencing are valid.

You don’t have to feel festive.
You don’t have to be grateful every moment.
You don’t have to hold everything together for everyone else.

Being kind to yourself might look like:
• Saying no without explaining yourself
• Letting “good enough” be enough
• Taking a break from difficult conversations
• Allowing mixed emotions to exist side by side
• Resting when your body asks for it

If Christmas is hard this year, you’re not failing – you’re human. And if it’s joyful, you’re allowed to enjoy that without guilt too.

Offer yourself the same compassion you’d offer someone you care about. Speak to yourself gently. Slow down where you can. You deserve care as much as anyone else.

This season doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be survivable – and sometimes, that is more than enough. 🎄✨

All packed up. It’s been a wonderful 3.5 years in my therapy room on Ruskin Road, and now it’s time to move on. Not far, just up the road, to a bigger space. Feeling both excited and deeply grateful for what’s to come.

With heartfelt thanks to my lovely landlady, Kerry DC, I am forever grateful for the space you trusted me with and the work it allowed me to do. 💜

Winter Solstice Reflections

As we arrive at the Winter Solstice, the longest night and a turning point back towards the light. It feels like a gentle invitation to slow down, reflect, and honour where we are. This time of year can bring mixed emotions: relief, exhaustion, hope, grief, or quiet anticipation. All of it is welcome.

💛 Mental health reminder:
Rest is not something we earn – it’s something we need. Winter asks us to soften, to conserve energy, and to be compassionate with ourselves as we move through shorter days and longer nights.

🎄 Christmas closure:
I’ll be taking a short break over the Christmas period to rest and reset. Sessions will pause during this time, with replies resuming in the new year. Thank you for your understanding and for trusting me with your journeys this year.

✨ Looking ahead:
I’m really pleased to share that the new year will also bring a new therapy office – a fresh, calm space to support reflection, healing, and growth as the light returns. More details coming soon.

Wishing you a peaceful Solstice, gentle days over Christmas, and moments of warmth and connection wherever you can find them. 🌲🕯️
