Broadening the smile by reducing the buccal corridor.
What is a buccal corridor?
It’s the space between the back teeth and the corner of the lips. If you’ve got narrow buccal corridors then you cannot see as many teeth when you smile and you get dark spaces at the edge of your smile.
By aligning your teeth, we can not only straighten them, but we can make more teeth visible when you smile which reduces the buccal corridor and removes the dark spaces at the edge of the smile.

More teeth visible when smiling creates a more balanced and beautiful smile.
