What swap could you make to reduce the amount of plastic you use?

Ambulatory Wound Care have swapped Irripod sachets (sterile solution) for tap water when cleaning wounds for patients in clinics.
This leading project is reducing plastic waste and saving £5,656 per year.

NHS England estimate the NHS uses over 133,000 tonnes of plastic every year!
Much of this is medical waste and single use. We continue to seek opportunities to reduce waste where it is clinically safe to do so.

We love celebrating and sharing success. Today we want to congratulate Crewe District Nursing team who have achieved a Bronze Quality Matters Accreditation following a recent Quality Visit.
The service demonstrated kind, compassionate, patient centred care for their patients within the community and clinic settings.

At CCICP, every achievement deserves the spotlight.

Congratulations to our CCICP Stoma team on achieving Gold in their recent CCICP Quality Matters Accreditation. The gold accreditation reflects the outstanding care provided both within the hospital and within the community setting where a true seamless service is provided to our local population.

Celebration of CCICP's Sustainable Shifts

A few weeks back we held an event to showcase many of the projects within CCICP emphasising sustainability and what we do to reduce our impact on the planet and ensuring our services are sustainable for the future.

We shared how we're reducing our impact on the planet, improving service sustainability through evolving our working practices and reducing demand on services through prevention work with patients.
One attendee commented
“I loved the networking (in person), it’s so rare these days and I really enjoyed finding out about all the inspiring projects.” We're thrilled to share just one example of the wonderful feedback we received from attendees.

Congratulations to Blessing!

At CCICP, celebrating our colleagues’ milestones are deeply important to us. We are truly pleased to announce that Blessing has completed her apprenticeship in Podiatry with 1st Class Honours. Blessing said, "The support from the whole podiatry team made it that much easier to complete and I couldn't have done it without them.”

CCICP offer a wide range of amazing apprenticeships for Allied Health Professionals, supporting the next generation and enriching our future health professionals.

Congratulations, Blessing – your work and dedication is truly inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder!

Yesterday fundraiser, nurse and transformation project manager Claire shaved her head and raised over £1,400 for Community Complementary Therapy Services for End of Life Patients who wish to spend their final weeks and days at home.

🌍 Celebrating Sustainability at CCICP! 🌱

Today we celebrated the many ways we’re making our organisation more sustainable — evolving our services to be more planet-friendly while always putting patient care and experience first 💙

✅ We saw the impact of switching from water sachets to tap water in ambulatory wound care — leading to carbon reduction and cost savings 💧
✅ We highlighted the trailblazing use of reusable, washable incontinence products, cutting down on landfill waste (which takes 500 years to decompose) and saving vast sums of money ♻️

🌱 And these are just a few examples — there are many more sustainability initiatives happening across CCICP!

We’re proud to be building a healthier, greener future for our patients and our planet 💚
