Every year, we take part in the national NHS Staff Survey β€” one of the largest workforce surveys in the world β€” giving every member of staff the opportunity to share their experiences and shape the future of our workplace.
If you're a member of CCICP staff, please ensure you complete your survey to have your say.

Do you know the difference between Romany Gypsies and Irish Travellers – and why it matters for health?

One of the largest minority groups in our region are Romany Gypsies. To help staff across the Trust provide more inclusive and effective care, the CCICP Transformation Team invited Pride of Romani to deliver a training session on cultural awareness and reasonable adjustments.

This training explored:
πŸ”Ή Genetic predispositions within the Romany Gypsy community
πŸ”Ή End-of-life care practices and traditions
πŸ”Ή Reasonable adjustments to support engagement with health services
πŸ”Ή The importance of accurate ethnicity coding

Understanding these differences isn’t just about awareness – it can be life-saving.
If you are a member of MCHT staff and would like to access the training, please email ccicp.ccicptransformation@mcht.nhs.uk

Today we've been at Crewe Alexandra Football Club running the One Stop Shop with Crewe Care Community
A space for patients to get support from a range of services including a GP, Physiotherapist, dietician, mental health support, social prescribing and more.

Patients fed back how welcome and well supported they feel, being able to speak to so many specialists at the same time and getting referrals that have improved their quality of life.
