Since April 2024, Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity has funded a Community Complementary Therapy Service for people nearing the end of life — bringing gentle therapies such as reflexology, Indian head massage and aromatherapy into people’s homes. 🕊️

These treatments can help ease pain, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and bring calm and comfort during the most difficult time. Since launching, the service has already supported over 175 people.

To continue offering this special care, we need to raise £20,000 each year. Every donation helps us bring peace and dignity to patients and their families in their final weeks and days. 💫

This evening, we join families across the world in remembering the precious babies who left us too soon.🕯️

We were honoured to help support the recent ‘Holding Space, Sharing Love’ event — a collaborative gathering that provided a gentle and safe space for families to come together, reflect, and remember their babies who have sadly left us too soon. It was a truly compassionate occasion, offering connection and access to bereavement support.

Specialist Bereavement Midwife Kelly shared:
“As a bereavement midwife, it is an honour to support families during their most vulnerable moments. I hold close the memory of each baby and every family I have had the privilege to support.”

We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting families through the Meadow Suite at Leighton Hospital — a special space offering care, comfort, and compassion during the most unimaginable times.

This Baby Loss Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on the importance of compassionate spaces for families facing the unimaginable.

Thanks to your support, Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity helped fund The Meadow Suite at Leighton Hospital — a calm, private space where families can labour, meet, and spend precious time with their baby. 💜

What may seem like small details can make a big difference — a private entrance, space for family to visit, a double bed for two parents to stay together, and books to share with their little one. 🌸

The Meadow Suite is unique for a hospital of our size, and we’re so grateful to have this special space for families when they need it most.

We were delighted to celebrate 30 years of MCH Charity with a wonderful afternoon tea at Crewe Hall , surrounded by our amazing supporters, community fundraisers, and partners. 💙

🏃‍♂️✨ Good luck to Will Carroll running the Chester Marathon this Sunday! ✨🏃‍♂️

Will began his running journey at the start of 2024, going from barely being able to run 100 metres to completing his very first 10km run at Chester Zoo in an impressive 48 minutes 26 seconds at the end of last year. 👏

This year, he’s pushed himself even further by taking on the Chester Triple Challenge – completing a 10km, a half-marathon, and a metric marathon – and now he’s ready to take on the Chester Marathon! 🏅

What an incredible journey of determination, resilience, and progress. Let’s cheer Will on as he takes on this huge challenge on Sunday – we’re all behind you! 💪🙌
