We’re thrilled to welcome The Madeley Centre to the Brew Crew network! 🧡

The Madeley Centre is a fantastic community venue right in the heart of Madeley. They welcome everyone with a warm smile and a cracking cuppa, making it a friendly and central hub for everyone.

This means there’s now another welcoming space in our community where adults experiencing loneliness can pop in, buy a brew, feel at ease, and connect — especially if you’re wearing an orange heart pin. That little symbol tells the café staff you’re part of Brew Crew, and they’ll offer you an extra warm welcome.

Brew Crew is all about creating friendly spaces for adults who might otherwise stay home alone. A simple pin, a brew, a simple chat — but a big difference.

🧡 Do you live near this safe space and have a little time to spare? You could volunteer to host a Brew Club session — a welcoming table inside a Brew Crew café where adults experiencing loneliness can find light conversation, friendly company, and a sense of connection. Just a warm hello and a listening ear can make a big difference..

This isn’t your usual Christmas dinner…

For one night only, Madeley will descend into a world of candle light, secrets, and suspicion as The Lantern Club presents a Victorian murder mystery like nothing the village has ever seen.

Step through the doors and into the story of one of the most famous ghosts in history— where guests dine beneath lantern light, whispers linger in the shadows, and every course brings you closer to uncovering the truth.

Begin your evening with a seasonal welcome drink, before indulging in a decadent three-course menu designed to warm even the frostiest of hearts:

🥣 Spiced winter soup with garlic & rosemary croutons
🍖 Loin of pork with chestnut & smoked bacon stuffing, buttery mash, roasted root vegetables & sage gravy / Vegetable fritter with sweet potato and hazelnut croquette, roasted root vegetables, and a smoked cheese and leek sauce
🍮 Deconstructed figgy pudding — a Dickensian sponge crowned with vanilla crème anglaise & poached fig syrup / Lemon Tart served with a sweet plum sauce and whipped cream

The Spirits of Christmas shall be abroad on this night - so dress to impress… or dare to arrive in Victorian finery.
