Spring Back Therapy

Spring Back Therapy We always start with the feet and work our way up the body releasing muscular tension due to misalignments of the bones. Sport Massage Therapist Level 6.

These include the metatarsals in the feet feet, intervertebral rotations in the spine, ribs, shoulders and face. I have learnt deep tissue techniques along with Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretches, and can perform a range of Remedial Massage techniques. My treatment is based on massage and uses pressure points to release the deep muscular tensions that cause much pain. It allows joints (including the spine) to move more freely. I also use a technique called "Turn for the Better" which allows gentle self rotation to release spinal muscle spasm. It should be noted that this treatment never involves high velocity impulses (click type) manipulation. Typical treatment time is approximate forty five minutes to an hour.

Hello!

I’m back to work and, as many of you know, my diary is a bit chaotic until the 20th of October. I’d definitely say that if you want to pre-book appointments, either mention it at your next session or send me a text. It’s always a bit chaotic — but even more so right now!

Liam is, as usual, busy juggling everything 👀 (my hormones being the hardest job 🤣). I’m cracking that whip and have opened up some more slots with him so he is now able to take on a few more new clients. 🕺

Sending lots of love as always!

Millie

🧘‍♂️ Did you know stress can be a major contributor to back pain? Here’s how:

1️⃣ Muscle Tension: Stress causes your muscles to tense up, especially in the back, neck, and shoulders, leading to pain over time.

2️⃣ Inflammation: Chronic stress increases inflammation in the body, which can worsen back pain.

3️⃣ Poor Posture: When stressed, we often adopt poor posture, putting extra strain on our spine and muscles.

4️⃣ Increased Sensitivity: Stress can lower your pain tolerance, making discomfort feel more intense.

5️⃣ Unhealthy Habits: Stress can lead to poor sleep, reduced physical activity, and unhealthy eating, all of which can contribute to back pain.

Taking steps to manage stress can help reduce back pain and improve your overall well-being! 💆‍♀️💪

🚨Swipe right to see a sight! 😂

As many of you know I gave birth to Maeve in Feb 2023! What you may or may not know is I struggled with pelvis pain during the pregnancy, I was lucky enough to know what to do to help ease the pain. What I wasn’t aware of was how bloody painful the labour would be! 😂 Looking back I’d take the p***c pain over the labour!

But the point of this is, do you know someone who’s been pregnant and left in pain from the labour? Or do you know someone who’s pregnant and could have the help from our treatments?

Our treatment is ideal for those who are pregnant and experiencing pain in areas like the ribs, pelvis, or feet, as well as for those suffering from symphysis p***s dysfunction. We specialize in mobilizing the p***c bone from the front of the body and can teach you how to perform these mobilizations at home to help maintain proper pelvic alignment. This can significantly reduce lower back pain during pregnancy and improve comfort during labor. In our treatment room, you’ll be comfortably supported while kneeling over a chair, ensuring your bump is well-positioned and not compressed.

👐 At Spring Back Therapy, we specialize in treating muscular and joint issues, focusing on the entire body—not just the site of pain. Our approach is simple but effective, making it suitable for everyone, not just athletes.

Here’s how we help you:

🔍 ANALYSE: We assess your body to find areas of muscle tension and restricted joint movement.

💆‍♂️ RELEASE: Using techniques like pressure points, vibrotherapy, and massage, we relieve tension and realign your body to reset your Central Nervous System.

🌿 RESTORE: By improving blood flow, we help your body’s natural healing process, breaking the cycle of chronic pain. We also recommend herbal remedies like Comfrey and Arnica to support tissue recovery.

Plus, we give you simple self-care tips to continue at home, speeding up your healing journey! 💪

Our Story

Spring Back Therapy is a Remedial Therapy Clinic based in Crewe. Owner, Millie Darlington, started treating her fathers back in 2012 and found a career in “Turn Therapy” whilst finishing her GCSE’s off at high school Millie started with a Sports Massage LV3 qualification at Manchester School of Massage. Millie has recently finished a BTEC6 diploma in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage at JING, Brighton. Millie is a bubbly, chatty person who comes from a farming background but has love for horses!

Having now got a nice treatment room Millie treats 40 clients per week, the treatment is based on massage and uses pressure points to release the deep muscular tensions that cause much pain. It allows joints (including the spine) to move more freely. I also use a technique called "Turn Therapy" which allows gentle self rotation to release spinal muscle spasm. It should be noted that this treatment never involves high velocity impulses (click type) manipulation.
