Residents at Alexandra Mill have been making the most of the sunshine ☀️🧁

What better way to enjoy a warm day than with a delicious ice cream! Everyone had the chance to choose their favourite flavour, from classic options to fruity treats!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and lovely conversations as residents spent time together outdoors. It's moments like these that make sunny days extra special💛

Over the past few weeks here at Alexandra Mill, we've been working with Famileo, and it's been heart warming to see so many families get involved- sharing photos, messages and precious memories to stay connected with their loved ones.

Today marked a very special milestone as the residents received their very first gazette. As they turned each page, there were smiles and even a few happy tears as they caught up on family news and saw familiar faces brought to life in print.

\for many it sparked conversations, cherished recollections and a real sense of closeness- reminding us all just how important those connections are. We're so grateful to the families who have embraced this and helped make today such a meaningful experience💛

We can't wait to see the next editions and all the joy they will continue to bring!

What a fantastic afternoon of creativity at Alexandra Mill with Sara from HSL Pottery.🎨

Residents embraced their artistic side as they worked on two beautiful projects. The first saw everyone carefully painting their own cup and saucer, choosing colours and patterns that reflected their unique styles - no two designs were the same!

For the second project, we got hands-on with clay to begin creating a stunning wall decoration. Using freshly picked foliage from the garden- including rosemary, lavender, ivy and more, Residents pressed natural patterns into the clay, creating something truly special and personal🌿

The session was filled with laughter, creativity and a wonderful sense of calm. It was lovely to see everyone so engaged, sharing ideas and enjoying the therapeutic benefits of art.

We cant wait to see the finished pieces 💛

🌸A Wonderful Day out at Bridgemere Garden Centre🌸

Residents from Alexandra Mill enjoyed a truly lovely day out at Bridgemere Garden Centre, making the most of the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.🌿

The group took a gentle stroll through the centre, admiring the colourful seasonal plants and taking in all the sights. The visit to the aquarium was a particular highlight, with everyone watching the fish and exploring something a little different.🐠

There was plenty of time to browse the shops, with lots of interesting items to see, before visiting the cafe for a well-deserved cuppa and a delicious slice of cake.☕️🍰

Days like these are so important-bringing smiles, sparking conversations and creating special moments to remember. It was a day full of laughter, companionship and simple joys💛

What a lovely day it's been at Alexandra Mill. Residents along with the Home Manager and department heads, came together to enjoy a relaxed lunch filled with warm conversation and plenty of smiles.

We were also treated to a fantastic performance from Belle Aria, whose beautiful voice brought favourites from Hollywood movies to life. The room was full of joy and happiness.

It's moments like these that bring everyone closer and create such a happy and vibrant atmosphere

At Alexandra Mill, we love exploring new and unexpected experiences- and we were completely captivated when Karen Pfeiffer transported us into the magical world of fantasy with an enchanting afternoon of stories and song.📖🎶

Together, we journeyed over the rainbow🌈 into a realm of Kings and medieval wonder. It was a truly joyful and memorable afternoon, filled with imagination, music and story telling at its very best.

Residents at Alexandra Mill enjoyed a truly memorable afternoon of music and laughter with the ever-popular singer Will Malone. From the moment he began, his energy filled the room, getting everyone tapping their feet to the music.

The songs were a perfect mix of nostalgia and fun, featuring timeless Sinatra classics alongside crowd favourites like "Sweet Caroline"

There were smiles all around as residents shared special moments, clapped along to the rhythm, and even enjoyed taking to the spotlight to sing a few solos themselves!!!

Live music has a wonderful way of bringing people together and this afternoon was no exception. It was heart warming to see such joy, connection and enthusiasm throughout the performance.

What a fantastic day our residents had at Wheelock Hall Farm 🐮

From meeting the friendly farm animals to exploring the lovely farm shop, there was plenty to see and enjoy. The highlight for many was sitting down together for a cuppa and a chat in the cafe ☕️

Days like this are so special- getting out in the fresh air, sharing laughs and making new memories together. We're already looking forward to our next adventure💚

Here at Alexandra Mill, we are passionate about helping our residents stay connected with the people and moments that matter the most.

We've recently started using technology to bring families even closer together! We're working with Famileo, a wonderful service that helps us collect and share photos, updates and memories with families. From daily activities and trips out to those special moments, it's a great way to keep everyone involved and informed.

The response so far has been fantastic, and it's been lovely to see so many families already signing up and engaging with what we share. We're excited to keep building these connections and creating even more memories together💛

Residents at Alexandra Mill have been enjoying the excitement of the Grand National today 🐎.

Each lounge was filled with anticipation as everyone gathered to watch the races, cheering on their horses and sharing in the thrill of each moment. Our sweepstake added an extra layer of fun, sparking lots of friendly competition and laughter throughout the afternoon!

Alongside the excitement, residents treated themselves to a selection of sweet treats 🍬🍭🍫, making the day feel extra special. There were plenty of smiles and a wonderful sense of community spirit all around.

What a truly wonderful afternoon at Alexandra Mill with Vicky and Bea from Musical Moments 🪇

Today's Springtime themed session was full of warmth, laughter and music that brought back so many happy memories. From singing along to Tulips from Amsterdam to the ever cheerful Daisy Daisy, the room was filled with smiles and voices joining together.

The gentle rhythm of the tambourine kept everyone engaged, creating such a lively and uplifting atmosphere. It's amazing how music can bring people together, spark memories and brighten the day in such a special way.

A big Thankyou to Vicky and Bea for another fantastic session- we're already looking forward to the next one! 🌼💛

Alexandra Mill has had the loveliest time caring for these beautiful ducklings🐥💛

These past ten days have flown by. We've watched them grow from tiny newborn ducklings into the most spirited little characters. it's been so special seeing them instinctively take to water when we introduced a bowl, and discovering just how much they enjoy peas and sweetcorn!

Tomorrow we'll be saying goodbye as they head off to their new homes. They have brought us so much joy and will be truly missed.

We hope they will go on to have many adventures 🪿✨
