Celebrating Craftsmanship at Oxley’s

At Oxley’s, we believe that craftsmanship has the power to honour every life in a meaningful way.

From the talented florists we work with every day, to the talented team at JC Walwyn & Sons whose coffins can be created and personalised to reflect the individuality of every person. Each one is crafted with care and respect for the story it represents. To our celebrants who use their creative talents to craft the words to honour a loved one's life story, each element plays a part in making every service special and unique.

Later our skilled stonemasons create memorial stones that stand as lasting tributes, shaped by hand and made to endure for generations.

Craftsmanship matters to us because people matter to us.

Oxley’s trusted by generations guided by kindness.

A little bit of local history…

Long before Oxley's opened its doors, this building was home to Crewe Mineral Works, a place that played a small but memorable role in the town’s industrial story. The first photo, taken around 1925, shows the Works in its early years - very much part of everyday life in Crewe. The second photo shows how the building looks today with team Oxley's.

We’re always fascinated by the stories buildings can tell, and we’d love to hear yours.
If you or someone you know has memories, stories, or old photographs of Crewe Mineral Works, please share them with us. They’re an important piece of our towns history, and we’d be thrilled to help keep those memories alive.

A Little Gift for Mothering Sunday
Mothering Sunday offers a moment to pause and appreciate the care and guidance that shape our lives. This week we were pleased to support the churches of Acton, Wettenhall and Church Minshull with a donation of Forget-me-Not keyrings to share at their services.
These small keepsakes were warmly received across the parishes, a simple object to hold big memories.
The Reverend Anne Lawson is pictured at Acton Church receiving the keyrings on behalf of the congregations.

Shining a Light for St Luke’s

At Oxley’s, we are proud to support St Luke’s Hospice, an inspiring local resource that offers gentle, compassionate support to those they care for. With their lovely Twilight Walk just around the corner, it feels the perfect moment to celebrate their work and stand behind this wonderful fundraiser.

A Small Comfort for Those Missing Their Mum

As Mother’s Day approaches we know this time of year can bring back memories and stir feelings of loss. After the thoughtful feedback we received when we offered Forget-Me-Not keyring on Valentine’s Day we are extending this gesture throughout March for anyone who feels the loss of their mum.

For those who feel they would find comfort in carrying a small reminder of her you are warmly welcome to call into our Crewe or Nantwich offices and pick up a Forget Me Not keepsake key ring to keep close.
