Flu vaccine :
✅ Pregnant women
✅ Children aged 2–3 (on 31 Aug 2025)
✅ Children (6 months–17 yrs) with long-term health conditions
✅ Adults 65+
✅ Adults 18–64 with certain health conditions
✅ Care home residents, carers, people living with immunocompromised individuals

COVID-19 autumn booster:
✅ Care home residents (older adults)

✅ Anyone 6 months+ who is immunosuppressed

🔊 Temporary Closure Update – Crewkerne Health Centre

Following a number of water leaks, Middle Path Surgery, Crewkerne has had to close temporarily. Contractors and surveyors are on site currently assessing the damage and repair required. As soon as an update on timescale is available for reopening, we will advise.

During this period please be assured that all core services, including staff and clinicians, will continue to operate through West One Surgery, West Street, Crewkerne. There will be no reduction in services, appointments, or clinical capacity during this period.

➡️ From 8 September, there will also be a number of dedicated clinics at Crewkerne Community Hospital.

Patients scheduled for these clinics will be notified directly in advance.
A dedicated Crewkerne Health Centre reception team will be present on site to support and welcome patients.

We kindly ask patients attending the Community Hospital to follow the signage provided and liaise with Crewkerne Health Centre staff on site to ensure a smooth patient journey and to minimise any disruption to the hospital’s regular activity.

Crewkerne Health Centre – Service Continuity During Middle Path Building Closure

Dear Patients and Members of the Community,

Following the temporary closure of the Crewkerne Health Centre Middle Path building due to urgent repair works, we would like to provide reassurance regarding the continuity of our services.

Service Continuity
Crewkerne Health Centre remains fully operational. All core services have been relocated to West One Surgery, West Street, Crewkerne, where our staff and clinicians continue to provide care as usual. Patients can be assured there is no reduction in services, appointments, or clinical capacity during this period.

Additional Clinics at Crewkerne Community Hospital
From Monday 8 September, we will also be running certain dedicated clinics at Crewkerne Community Hospital.

Patients scheduled for these clinics will be notified directly in advance.
A dedicated Crewkerne Health Centre reception team will be present on site to support and welcome patients.
We kindly ask patients attending the Community Hospital to follow the signage provided and liaise with Crewkerne Health Centre staff on site to ensure a smooth patient journey and to minimise any disruption to the hospital’s regular activity.


Commitment to Patients
Our priority is to ensure patient care continues without interruption. We are continually reviewing and adjusting our operational plans to safeguard service levels and maintain patient access to care.

As part of our governance responsibilities, Crewkerne Health Centre and Symphony Healthcare Services (a subsidiary of NHS Somerset Foundation Trust) have formally notified the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) of the building closure and service relocation. We are keeping both regulatory bodies updated on all developments.


Parking Information
Please note that the West One Surgery car park operates a pay-and-display scheme. Unfortunately, Crewkerne Health Centre has no control over parking management at this site and is therefore unable to provide free parking. We encourage patients to allow extra time when attending appointments to accommodate this.

Ongoing Updates
We are committed to keeping our patients and the community informed. Any further updates regarding building works, service locations, or operational changes will be shared promptly via our website, social media channels, patient communications, and on-site notices.
The Day Lewis Pharmacy at Middle Path remains open as normal.

The Autumn/Winter COVID campaign will run from 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2026. If you are recorded as a housebound patient aged 75 or over, or are recorded as immunosuppressed by the practice, you will be contacted, and we will book your housebound appointment. This may not be at the start of the campaign, but we will contact you before 31 January 2026 to arrange your vaccination. Please don’t worry if you receive a reminder from NHS England before we have contacted you – this is a national message and does not mean you have been missed. Your vaccination needs are held locally within the Somerset system, and you will be contacted before 31 January 2026 to arrange your vaccination. If you would like us to confirm that you are coded as housebound on our system, our staff can check this for you. Thank you for your patience.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Middle Path Surgery is undergoing emergency building works. Middle Path Surgery will therefore be closed from 04/09/2025 until further notice.

• All appointments will take place at West One Surgery or Crewkerne Community Hospital.
