At The Orchards we strive to provide just that, giving you the peace of mind that your loved ones will be well cared for at all times. We offer round-the-clock care, including nursing services, so you’ll never have to

worry – the right care and expertise will always be on hand to help. The Orchards likes to operate an open door visiting policy to encourage family and friends to stop by at any time. The modern layout provides plenty of space for both social interaction and privacy with separate lounges, a dining room and spacious gardens with raised flower beds. A comprehensive activity and entertainment programme is provided, and a wide range of participatory activities are available to the residents including away-days visiting local sites. We also enjoy close links with Henhayes Community Centre to offer additional activities for residents to enjoy. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms their own, by bringing personal items and furniture. This puts residents at ease and makes them as comfortable as possible. All the bedrooms have ensuite facilities and a television. Telephone points can be fitted to every bedroom. The site also offers additional services, including personal laundry and hairdressing. We also offer a day care service as a way for carers to catch up on daily errands while enriching their relative’s day with a short-term change of environment. The opportunity for socialisation as well as easy access to additional services is especially beneficial for the less mobile. Discover more about our day care service.

☕ Time for a Cuppa at The Orchards Nursing Home! ☕

Join us on Tuesday 5th May, 2:30–4:00pm for a lovely cuppa and help us raise funds for Dementia UK, a charity supporting families affected by dementia across the UK. Dementia UK trains and supports specialist Admiral Nurses who provide practical guidance, advice, and emotional support to people living with dementia and their loved ones.

At The Orchards, we are passionate about delivering outstanding dementia care. Our team is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and understood — and supporting Dementia UK helps us extend that care even further.

We’re excited to introduce Jon, our dedicated Deputy Manager!

Jon has worked in the care sector for over 15 years, gaining experience across Dementia support, Mental Health, and elderly care. He has achieved Levels 2 and 3 in care and is currently working toward Level 4, with plans to progress to Level 5.

Supporting residents to maintain independence and emotional wellbeing has always been central to Jon’s approach. He works closely with colleagues to help individuals reach their potential and ensures that our home is welcoming, full of joy, and has a family atmosphere.

Outside of work, Jon enjoys all genres of music—he even toured the UK with his band! He also loves traveling and exploring the rich experiences of world cultures.

Join us in welcoming Jon and celebrating the energy and care he brings to The Orchards every day! 🎶💛
