I always do things backwards but hey, I can tell you how to not do something 😉

If like me and many of our members you find goal setting an arduous task and you never know what to put.

Here’s what my coach asked me…

“Where don’t you want to be?”

E.g.”I don’t want to have to buy a new wardrobe because my clothes don’t fit!”

Cool, so if you exercise and eat well will you be closer to get bigger clothes or further from?

“I don’t want to not go and play at the park with my kids because I know I’ll be out of breath and look like the frumpy parent!”

Cool, so will getting a bit fitter bring you closer to playing with your kids or further?

Here’s one from a new member.

“I don’t want to wait until im 70 to start doing the things I should have in my 40s”!

Cool, so will doing some form of exercise and eating well, put you in a better position or worse for 70 year old you!

See where I’m going with this…

If the goal isn’t obvious then ask yourself.

“what would annoy me if it happened or is happening?”

And would doing something about it be worse or better form you?

Give it a go.
