Alison is also an Ashtanga Yoga Teacher with Professional Yoga Alliance. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga classes in Crewkerne on Monday from 5.30 – 6.30pm & Wednesday from 7.30 – 8.30pm at The Henhayes Centre, South St, Crewkerne TA18 8DA.

Led by an experienced Ashtanga Yoga teacher the classes are always friendly and relaxed. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic and challenging tradition of yoga. We work through a set series of postures linking movement with the breath.

A big part of the corrective exercise process is using a foam roller to relax muscles that are working too hard. We easily forget that foam rolling is an exercise itself and as most exercise goes, there are many different ways to do it.

This is the 3 step technique that I share with everyone after we have learned where their imbalances are and which muscles need to "relax."

During the first session of the Body Blueprint we will do a postural assessment. This assessment will help us understand which muscles are overactive and need you to "calm" them with a foam roller.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN......'FORGOTTEN 11'?!?!?!?"

These are the muscles most associated with POOR PERFORMANCE and CHRONIC PAIN because:

1. As we age they will get WEAKER if we don't train them effectively.
2. They are POSTURAL MUSCLES which means they must be trained for endurance (and who really does that?)
3. These muscles are NOT part of most functional fitness training programs.
