Hi, my page has been getting lots of views so I thought it would be a good time to (re)introduce myself.

I am Clare, and EMDR UK Accredited Generic and Child & Adolescent Consultant. I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse by profession and have spent most of my working life in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. In July 2025 I took up an exciting role in psychology as Clinical Lead for the Trauma Pathway, this post allows me to work strategically and clinically with children, young people and adults across a number of primary and secondary services. I also supervise EMDR therapists across CAMHS, Adult Psychology, Older Age psychiatry, Perinatal Mental Health services and Primary Care.

In my secondment to Traumatic Stress Wales where I am leading on a service improvement initiative to increase the number of Accredited practitioners in NHS services, I supervise practitioners in Health Psychology, Plastics & Burns, Long-term Health conditions and childhood cancer services.

I completed an MSc in EMDR Therapy at the University of Worcester in 2022 and became a Consultant supervisor in 2023.

My private practice continues to grow both clinically providing therapy to adults and young people as well as providing supervision to practitioners in private practice, charities and statutory services.
I am also starting an exciting new chapter training to be a Training Facilitator.

I am excited to share that yesterday I started my new role as joint Clinical Lead - Trauma Pathway in an all-age service in the NHS. This is alongside my private practice where I will continue to offer EMDR Therapy and EMDR Consultant supervision to children, young people and adults.

Happy New Year everyone.

I haven't posted anything on my page in a while and I've been having lots of views, so for anyone who is interested I'd like to introduce myself.

I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse and EMDR Consultant. I am accredited as a clinical supervisor and Consultant for both children and adults and I have experience of providing therapy and supervising therapists across the entire lifespan.

I work part time in my private practice and part time in an NHS CAMHS Crisis service. I also hold an MSc in EMDR Therapy from the University of Worcester.

I am in search of some plastic animal and people figures for an EMDR sandtray therapy training I am doing in April. They cost a fortune online and I'm not keen on buying them new if I don't have to. If anyone has any that their children have outgrown and want to sell, I'd be happy to do so.

I have just received confirmation that my status on the EMDR Association website has changed to Accredited Adult and Child & Adolescent Clinical Supervisor/Consultant.

Please share with anyone who might be looking for a supervisor.

If anyone has an under 8 year old who would like a short course of EMDR therapy for a single incident of trauma, in exchange for allowing the session to be recorded, please get in touch. I need to demonstrate my competence with this age group for my accreditation but none of my young clients have felt comfortable in consenting.

This week I have been awarded an MSc (Merit) in EMDR Therapy from the University of Worcester. I am beyond pleased and grateful the hard work of the last few years has paid off.
