Heel spur‼️
A heel spur causes plantar fasciitis, which is characterized by pain in the sole of the foot.
Over time, the pain becomes constant and accompanies walking, prolonged standing, and even occurs at rest.
Heel spurs most often occur between the ages of 40 and 60, in the younger age group, the condition is observed in runners , where the cause may be repeated micro-injuries.
‼️The causes of heel spurs are most likely multifactorial and include the following:
✔️obesity,
✔️flat feet ,
✔️prolonged standing and walking, usually on a hard surface,
✔️long-term running on a hard treadmill,
✔️training overload ,
✔️limited dorsiflexion of the foot (extension), e.g. due to a shortened Achilles tendon, lack of flexibility of the calf muscles,
✔️lack of full extension in the knee joint, which causes greater load on the forefoot and greater tension on the plantar fascia,
✔️Poorly fitted footwear, too large, too hard.
How to treat heel spurs?‼️
Treating heel spurs mostly involves following a few rules.
✔️Regularly perform exercises ,
✔️Regularly perform exercises to stretch the calf muscles and plantar fascia, especially when the above-mentioned factors are met.
