What does nature provide you with?

After another busy day, nature always provides me with the peace I need for reflection, a space where I can mull over my day, with no judgement, a place of clarity and quietness.
I have been thinking about this a lot lately, how natures offerings aren't always big and dramatic but quiet and still and just as monumental.
Nature is a great therapist absorbing my thoughts, reflections and emotions, and she listens quietly with a wisdom I value beyond words. She's patient and comforting, tender but strong.
A nurturing presence that leaves me feeling content and supported.
I have a lot to learn from her, but I know she shares her offerings with generosity and kindness. The warmth from the sun, and the dance of light 🌿 every moment she shares, enriches me more.

It really is the simple things in life!

This morning was a slow few hours up at my allotment! Sieving compost, building my cover frame replanting my rhubarb and planted out some radish!

There are always a million things to do, but some of the most important ones are the simple ones, the ones that bring you pure joy and satisfaction.

The happiness I felt this morning after lifting my composting bin and seeing the gold!
Maybe it's that I am getting older, or maybe it's because I appreciate the simple things in life more these days.

Whatever it is, I'll take it!

Decompress in nature!

College in the morning, new placement this afternoon! My body and mind were feeling a little wired with adrenaline and excitement. I knew exactly what I needed, some sunshine, bird song and trees.
Spending time in nature can help the body decompress and regulate. The movement of walking and the breath alongside being in a green space can reduce cortisol and provide an opportunity to shift energy stored in the body. Even a short walk has it's benefits.
Notice before and after your time spent outside!
That glimmer and warmth of sunshine is a good antidote for a busy mind.

This Earth Day!

Take a moment to reconnect with the world around you!
Step outside into nature, slow down, and try a moment of being present in nature, not exercise, not hiking, just being. Listen to the leaves, feel the air, notice the quiet life all around you.
When we take time to connect with nature, we’re reminded why it’s worth protecting.
This Earth Day, experience nature, allow yourself to appreciate the season of spring, new growth, new energy with an open curiosity to the beautiful world around us .🌿

Today I spent the morning with the lovely inspirational ladies from
The ladies enjoyed a Spring Yoga Nidra meditation and some drum healing!

I am always so grateful to be invited back to provide an activity for the lovely women. Always so inviting, it's an amazing charity that supports women and men living with secondary breast cancer.

I am already looking forward to next year 🌿

April is Stress Awareness Month and what better way to reduce our stress by heading out into nature!

Nature has such a powerful effect on our whole body, it's proven to lower cortisol, support our parasympathetic system, and help us heal.
Our symbiotic relationship with nature, tells us we are safe, grounded and connected allowing us to slip back into what our DNA knows as home.

Have you ever spent time outdoors and felt the shift? The shoulders drop, the breath flows more naturally and everything softens. Nature is one of the most effective ways to reduce stress.

Our modern culture pulls us further away from where we are supposed to be, in nature, living in harmony with our land.
Spending time in nature is scientifically proven to be one of the best antidotes to modern day stress. It's even given out on prescription!

The relationship we have with nature runs deep

The sun regulates our circadian rhythm, supporting our hormones and
enabled our body to produce Vit D.
Trees provide us with oxygen in an exchange for carbon dioxide and produce photoncysides the support our immune system
Our gut microbiom has a similar structure to the earths microbes

We are nature!

If stress is a factor in your life, head outside, sit under a tree, listen to the birds, the song and the wind.
Notice your body softening, the stress blowing away with the wind.

No rush, no pressure, no fixing, just stress busting
