Our residents had the BEST Friday afternoon thanks to a lovely visit from Tricia and Matty 🐾💛

There’s something so special about pet therapy, and Matty definitely stole the show! From gentle strokes to lots of cuddles, our residents absolutely loved spending time with him. The smiles, laughter, and warm moments shared reminded us just how powerful these visits are.

A huge thank you to Tricia for bringing Matty along — we’re already looking forward to the next visit! 🐶✨

Yesterday was filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of rhythm as our residents enjoyed a wonderful music and movement session with Amber Twinkle Toes Norfolk 🎶✨

It was so lovely to welcome Hattie and Elliot back — they’ve been missed! The room lit up as residents and little ones connected through music, movement and play. From toe-tapping tunes to gentle dances and shared giggles, the joy was clear to see.

Thanks to Friend in Deed with providing Intergenerational moments like these. They are truly special, bringing everyone together and creating memories that warm the heart 💛

What a beautiful afternoon yesterday, filled with music and smiles! 🎶💛

A huge thank you to Rachel for coming in and sharing her amazing voice with us. Our residents absolutely loved it — some joined in singing along, and others couldn’t resist getting up for a little dance! 💃🕺

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be in bringing everyone together. We’re already looking forward to the next visit! 🎤✨

What a fantastic finale to our Winter Olympics here at Tamar House! ❄️🏁

We wrapped up the games in true Tamar House style – with plenty of creativity, teamwork and laughter. Our residents put a frosty twist on the luge by freezing animal toys in blocks of ice and sending them racing down our very own makeshift track. There were cheers, dramatic finishes, and a few unexpected tumbles along the way!

The room was filled with smiles (and a little competitive spirit!) as everyone picked their favourites and celebrated each run. We finished the day with a heart-warming closing ceremony, complete with a round-up of flags, marking the end of our winter games in style.

A perfect way to celebrate together – fun, friendship and lots of laughter from start to finish. 💙

Yesterday we celebrated Chinese New Year in the best way possible! 🧧✨

We enjoyed some delicious Chinese snacks before sitting down for a lovely lunch together. To top it all off, our manager handed out fortune cookies to both residents and staff, spreading smiles and good vibes all around.

Such a wonderful way to celebrate the Lunar New Year — full of good food, good company, and a little extra fortune! 🥠❤️

Nothing beats an afternoon filled with laughter and a little friendly competition! ❄️😄

This week our residents had an absolute blast playing Granny Pants — tossing “snowballs” into a very oversized pair of pants! The room was full of cheers, giggles, and some impressive throwing skills.

To make it even better, a couple of our lovely ladies bravely donned a pair of the pants themselves, giving us all even more reason to laugh and smile. 🤭

Moments like these remind us that fun has no age limit. Great laughs, great company, and wonderful memories made! 💙

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our lovely resident, Rose, as she turned an incredible 90 years young! 🎉💐

Rose enjoyed a beautiful visit from her family, filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of special moments. Afterwards, we all gathered together to sing Happy Birthday, making sure she felt just how loved she truly is.

She was delighted to open her presents and, of course, enjoyed a delicious slice of birthday cake to top off the celebrations! 🎂✨

Happy 90th Birthday, Rose! What a wonderful milestone — we’re so honoured to celebrate with you! 💕

Our residents had the loveliest time recently with a very special visit from Louise and her beautiful rescued greyhound, Brady 🐾💛

Louise spoiled everyone with some absolutely yummy cakes and plenty of wonderful conversation, while Brady brought all the sweetness, gentle cuddles, and calm companionship.
We also learned about Brady’s life before being rescued — a sad beginning, but one that truly ended in love, safety, and hope. What a heartwarming story to share together.

And the smiles didn’t stop there! On Friday, we were delighted to welcome back Tricia and Matty, who as always, brightened the day and put huge smiles on our residents’ faces.
We are so grateful for these special visits that bring joy, connection, and so many warm moments 💕

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with our wonderful residents, sharing smiles, stories, and a little extra warmth throughout the day.
Also had a lovely visit from Little Elliot and Leah, who brought joy and delightful moments to everyone.
A big thank you to our amazing team for spreading kindness and making every heart feel love.

Yesterday, Pearl and Heather spent some time tending to the flowers around the home, and what a difference it made! 🌸🌼
Their care and attention have helped create an even brighter, more cheerful space for our residents to enjoy.

Today we kicked things off with our very own “ice hockey” game! Residents took turns shooting pucks into the goals — some had hidden talents, others… enthusiastic technique 😄
Either way, there were plenty of laughs, cheers, and smiles all around. Team spirit at its best!
