I get asked this question a lot, what’s the difference between a Chiropodist or Podiatrist?

There is no difference!

Chiropodist is the old word, Podiatrist is the new word recognised all over the world. Both titles are protected and anyone practicing under these titles are registered with the HCPC.

I chose to keep the title Chiropodist (for now) because my father started this business with the same name in 1988… K Flynn Chiropody..
When I force my children to follow in the same ‘foot’ steps… then I may let them update it..

Today marked the end of an era, after 15 years with this lovely bunch of ladies I said goodbye to The Country House Salon.
I’ve loved having them next door me, I’ve loved all the craziness, and I’ve loved all their clients.
We’ve shared lots of laughs, tears, and many cups of tea, and I’m forever grateful to Haidee and the girls.

As the football season gets under way, I urge all parents and carers to check their young footballers boots very regularly….
Bruised nails, nails that become loose, inflammation and ingrowing nails, can all mean permanent damage..
And I know it’s tricky.. my own son would wear the tightest fitting boots he could..⚽️⚽️⚽️
