💊 If you are coming to the Emergency Department – please remember that your medicines are important.

Knowing what medicines patients take helps our teams make safe, appropriate decisions about care.

Please tell staff if you take medication for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, diabetes, myasthenia gravis or Addison’s disease, or if you take steroids, have had a transplant, or take medicines that affect your immune system or blood clotting.

If possible, bring all medicines with you – including inhalers, eye drops and anything bought over the counter – in their original containers.

If medicines haven’t been brought in, please ask a relative or carer to help.
