URGENT MEDICINES RECALL NOTICE – SERTRALINE 100 mg (AMAROX)
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has issued a Class 2 recall for Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets (Amarox Limited) due to a packaging error.
Affected batch number: V2500425
Expiry date: 05/2028
Issue: Some packs may contain a blister strip of Citalopram 40 mg tablets instead of Sertraline.
What patients should do:
✔ Check the batch number on the side of your box
✔ Open the carton and check the blister strips are labelled Sertraline 100 mg
✘ If any blister strip is labelled Citalopram 40 mg, do not take it.
If you have any affected tablets, stop taking them immediately and return them to your pharmacy.
If you have taken tablets from an affected pack and feel unwell, please speak to a pharmacist, your GP or call NHS 111.
