We are hosting a Xmas raffle this year to support the fundraising of Tara and Gavin 🎅🎁☃️

Since August 2023, Tara has been battling triple negative breast cancer which is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. She has undergone over 20 rounds of intense chemotherapy, more than 10 rounds of immunotherapy, surgery and additional radiotherapy. Despite successful results, Tara was enrolled onto a clinical trial that entailed more therapy to reduce the high risk of reoccurrence that is imposed by triple negative breast cancer. However, this summer Tara received the devastating news that the cancer had returned to both lungs. Her current diagnosis is Stage 4 Metastatic Secondary Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
Tara has remained brave, smiley and has remained as positive as possible throughout this demanding and exhausting battle. Due to the cancer returning to both lungs the doctors deemed further surgery was not possible. Contrarily, the doctors have discussed and supported the benefits of the Enhertu treatment. However, this treatment is not currently available on the NHS and the cost of the treatment is currently being estimated at circa of £7,500-£13,000 per month.
Tara has been supported closely by her family, friends, and loving husband, Lewis, a Director of Evans & Hughes and The Optic Shop. 60% of the money raised from this Xmas raffle will help fund Tara’s life prolonging treatment. Gavin will be running the London Marathon in April 2025. The remaining funds from this raffle will be donated to the RNIB fund.
