Meet Gerry or Big G for friends!

Sometimes, all it takes is a soft nuzzle from a horse to remind us to slow down, breathe, and feel connected again. Gerry is one of our gentle therapy horses, helping people find comfort, confidence, and calm through the power of equine therapy.

Every muzzle, every breath, every moment with him makes a difference.

We’re a small charity making a big impact – and we couldn’t do it without your support.

Its official - We will be attending Evenley Village Fete on the 6th September! 🐴

Elsie will be joining us on the village green offering pony cart rides throughout the day so if you missed us at our open day come along and say hi, we cant wait to see you there!😁🐴

This weekend Equilore turned 5 years! 🎉

What started with just myself and Winston, grew out to a charity in 2020 and now has grown into a dedicated team of 6 amazing staff, 20 dedicated volunteers, and 6 wonderful horses.

Over the last five years, we’ve been privileged to support people through equine-assisted therapy, creating a space where individuals can build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the unique benefits of working with horses.

We’re so grateful to our incredible team, volunteers, trustees, clients, and supporters who have made this journey possible. Here’s to the next five years of learning, growing, and working together!

🐴🌿Barn Pals! New sessions added!!🐴🌿

We are so excited to share that Barn Pals is growing, with new sessions now available.

Thursday morning 10:30am - 12:00pm -
A session perfect for home-educated children. Children can connect and learn about horses and how to care for them alongside hands on nature based activities and relaxed craft sessions.

Tuesday afternoons 4:00-5:30pm -
Wildlife Barn Pals
A nature focused adventure While horses are still involved, these sessions explore wildlife and the natural world around the barn.
Children can enjoy wildlife crafts, learning about nature, plants and animals, build dens and have fun!

Friday sessions - 4:00-5:30pm -
Original Barn Pals session.
These sessions focus on all things equine! Focusing on pony are, grooming, basic handling and creative craft activities and outdoor adventures. A hands on way for children to build confidence, learn about horses and how to care for them and just enjoy being outside.

All sessions involve -
- Being outdoors in all weather - we do have an indoor space if needed but we try and stay outside as much as possible.
- Interaction with horses and ponies
- Craft activities and nature exploration.
- Fresh air, friendship and fun!

£25 per session, ages 7+

Wonderful to see how Zekie is really starting to integrate with the boys in our herd.

Our herd reminds us every day of the strength found in sharing space and supporting one another.

That same sense of connection is at the heart of equine facilitated therapy.

A massive thank you to everyone who came and supported our open day. We raised £500 from you lovely bunch buying cakes, drinks and taking part in our taster sessions or enjoying a cart ride with the beautiful Elsie!
It was so wonderful speaking to so many people and great that see there was so much interest in our work!

In the presence of horses, there’s no need to explain yourself. They don’t ask for the right words or polished answers, they simply meet you where you are.

As you stand beside them, their steady breath and grounded presence can help soften anxious thoughts, ease tension, and make space for emotions you’ve been carrying quietly.
