It was a pleasure to catch up with our President, Charles Gallannaugh, during his visit to The Horder Centre today. Following lunch, he joined our CEO Elin Richardson on a walk-through of the hospital, stopping to speak with numerous colleagues across the organisation.

We also enjoyed reminiscing over historic photos of the hospital, especially meaningful given his remarkable legacy here. As an orthopaedic surgeon, he played a pivotal role in shaping The Horder Centre as a surgical hub from 1985 onwards, performed the Centreโ€™s very first hip replacement in 1989, and later served as Surgical Director.

A truly heartening visit, and a reminder of the foundations on which our ongoing work is built ๐Ÿ’™
