Albany Lodge Joins the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Albany Lodge proudly took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in support of people living with cancer.

The home was filled with the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee ☕ and an array of cakes lovingly prepared by our talented chef Adam and his team to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our residents also joined in, enjoying their cups of tea and coffee while sharing conversations and laughter together. It was a truly heartwarming event that brought everyone closer.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of all involved, Albany Lodge was able to make a meaningful contribution to Macmillan’s incredible work, helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. 💚

Bingo Fun at Albany Lodge!

What an afternoon we had today! Our residents were fully engaged in a lively game of Bingo, full of friendly competition, keeping the brain active and bringing lots of laughter. 🥳 Numbers were called, prizes were won 🏆, and everyone enjoyed some lovely interaction over drinks and a delicious piece of cake 🍰☕.

A big well done to our winners, and thank you to all who joined in to make today such a fun and memorable session💜

This morning at Albany Lodge, our residents enjoyed a fun and lively general knowledge quiz on the television, wonderfully facilitated by our activities coordinators.

With cups of tea in hand ☕, brains buzzing with answers, and plenty of laughter along the way, it was the perfect way to keep minds active and spirits high.

Engaging activities like these help ensure our residents stay connected, stimulated, and never feel isolated.

In recognition of Albany Lodge’s contributions and ongoing dedication to the community, we were honoured to be invited by the Civic Mayor of Croydon to a special Appreciation Evening.

Our Home Manager, Sarah Turker, and Lifestyle Lead, Oluchi Dominic, proudly represented Albany Lodge at this meaningful event which forms a key part of our community engagement journey.

The Mayor shared heartfelt gratitude for our efforts, and we are equally thankful for the chance to celebrate alongside inspiring community leaders, organisers, and partners from across Croydon.

The evening not only recognised shared achievements, but also opened the door to new collaborations, networking, stronger connections, and deeper community engagement, with delightful refreshments and uplifting conversations.

It truly was an evening filled with cherished memories!

Today we had the joy of celebrating not one, but two very special birthdays! 🥳

✨ Our lovely Ms. V turned 84, surrounded by friends, laughter, and cake.
✨ Our wonderful Mr. N marked his 93rd birthday, filling the day with smiles and cheer.

Love Still Blooms at Albany Lodge
Today, we had the absolute joy of celebrating a very special milestone — one of our lovely residents marked her 23rd wedding anniversary with her devoted husband right here at Albany Lodge Nursing Home.

The day was filled with love, laughter, and a few happy tears as they reminisced about their beautiful journey together. Surrounded by flowers, cake, and the warmth of our caring community, it was a celebration to remember.
