Yesterday our residents enjoyed a lovely visit from the priest from st Mary’s Catholic Church and the catechist ⛪️🛐🙏

Yesterday the residents experienced a lovely service receiving communion , blessings with holy oil and encouraging words from the priest . This allows residents to continue to express and practice their faith and the presence of the priest allows them to have a connection to the church . 🙏🏻⛪️🧎‍♂️‍➡️

Our residents enjoyed a lovely gentle exercise session today.

Our Chinese guest led a gentle Chinese exercise and dance session, and residents stayed engaged, moving along with the graceful steps and calming music.

Gentle exercises like this are so important for seniors, helping to improve mobility, support wellbeing, and lift mood.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles and active participation throughout the session.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely gentle exercise session today.

Our Chinese guest led a gentle Chinese exercise and dance session, and residents stayed engaged, moving along with the graceful steps and calming music.

Our Memory Sharing and Social Club session was amazing!

It was wonderful to hear our residents share special memories from their past, followed by a fun quiz that brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and friendly competition.

A great time of reminiscing and togetherness! Some residents also chose to relax by reading or playing games.

Sessions like these highlight the importance of memory activities and social connections, especially for those living with dementia.

The residents had a lovely social session this morning chatting amongst each other, doing some coloring, playing dominoes and watching a documentary on the TV . It was lovely to see the residents engaging with each other and having the time to talk while also doing calming activities that use their minds and their motor skills . ☺️🧩✏️✍️

Today we were joined by our lovely Jamie who bought us a lovely show . Our residents and staff enjoyed singing and dancing along to music they love and enjoy . Today we were joined by our lovely Jamie who bought us a lovely show . Our residents and staff enjoyed singing and dancing along to music they love and enjoy . Yesterday we had a lovely visit from the catechist and a very special visit from the priest from St Mary's Catholic church Croydon.🙏⛪

Our residents had a very special religious engagement which allowed them to feel more of a connection to the church and to their own faith hearing encouraging words from the priest about the start of lent and the importance of it with the lead up to Easter✝️

We also had a lovely service with encouraging words of a spiritual meaning and encouragement where residents and staff joined together to speak on how they feel about their faith with lovely hymns to end the service which all residents joined in 🎶🙏

To celebrate Chinese new year our residents did some arts and crafts coloring in and making lanterns watch are up at reception for everyone to see 🪭🐴⛩️

We also had a lovely pet therapy visit also where the range of animals was dressed up to celebrate and as it is the year of the horse the lovely pony "dotty" got lots of attention as stroking "dotty" is considered to be lucky and to give you good fortune🐴🐇🐕
