A PRACTICE FOR THE MIND AS WELL AS THE BODY

Here is another really good example of kundalini yoga as a practice that helps increase your
flexibility, i.e. your stretch, but also your strength.

So this is a practice for the lower
spine and it also involves quite a lot of strong navel work. When we have a strong navel, we are
anchored well in our bodies.

We are more resilient to stress. We have a healthier sense of self.
As always, we end with a meditation because as we release the tension, so we're in a much better
space to meditate.

It's just easier that way, yeah? So it's a practice for the mind as well as the body.

EXTREMELY EMPOWERING

We move our bodies in all sorts of different ways
when we do our practice.
It's such a diverse practice.

This was a class I taught last week.
We started with some beautiful music
and some free-form movement.

Love to move all the joints,
and then a little bit of breath work,
and then we hold this posture for 11 minutes.
Yeah, some people find that really hard.

It's not easy,
but it is extremely empowering,
and I wish that you would give it a try

KEEP OUR SPIRITS LIFTED

kundalini yoga focuses on strength as well as stretch and we have got lots of practices

to help stimulate the navel chakra the very center of our being our connection our primal

connection to ourself we embellish this with directed breath work with mantra

and with all these very interesting exercises repetitive exercises that we do

it will make you feel strong and more positive in yourself and i feel that is just so important

with all this craziness that we are swimming in this toxic soup of society

we've got to keep our spirits lifted and kundalini is one of those ways

KUNDALINI YOGA SETS YOU UP FOR A DAY

This is one of the best practices for opening up your hips. In Kundalini, we focus on both stretching and strengthening — it’s important to have both available to you, as neglecting one can destabilize your joints in the worst case. This is a simple practice with four exercises, involving lots of repetitive movements. As usual, we finish with a short meditation, often including chanting, which lifts the spirits and sets you up for the day.

My Story

In a nut shell Kundalini Yoga saved my life. And it was in birthing and mothering my son that I was fully reborn. 2007 I then left my ‘proper job’ and started teaching Kundalini Yoga and started to get requests from my students to attend their births so I trained as a doula and fully immersed myself in the wonderful word of birth, I also cooked hundreds of placentas!!! but I don’t do that now. I still doula and teach pregnancy yoga, but right now I’m mad about astrology and I’m busy aligning my life and yoga to the Zodiac - which literally means way of life. I run fantastic Kundalini Yoga retreats just for women in Ibiza, I teach Kundalini in real life in London from home in Peckham SE15 and in studios in Central and East London. I’m on a mission to make Kundalini Yoga and it’s teachings as accessible as possible. So you can also find me online on my sister page Kundalini with Kiranjot. which is my spiritual name which basically means one who radiates light.
