Croydon Osteopathic Practice Croydon based Osteopathy clinic, offering Bowen Therapy, Shockwave Therapy and osteopathy. It is a safe, natural and drug free approach to health care.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment that emphasises the role of the mechanical integrity of the body in the maintenance of health. Osteopaths utilise hands on techniques to optimise the function of the body and allow it to express it's innate health. Bowen Therapy utilises a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue technique that has been used successfully to treat people suffering from a variety of illnesses. Developed by the late Tom Bowen in Australia, this light touch, holistic therapy consists of a series of gentle moves with pauses in between of approximately two minutes to allow the body to respond. The moves are light but precise and can be done through light clothing. Through the gentle rolling of muscles, the fascia - thin, tough translucent sheets of fibrous material that envelop almost all structures in the body – is activated, sending signals to the brain, which stimulates the body’s resources to heal itself. Bowen therapy is safe to use on anyone from babies to the elderly and can produce lasting relief from pain and discomfort. Three sessions may be all that is required for most conditions. A session normally lasts about 40 minutes and frequently results in a deep sense of overall relaxation. Consequently, simple home-based postural exercises, and advice regarding work position and sports or leisure activities may be given during treatment. Where appropriate, x-rays, scans and diagnostic tests can be arranged for you during a course of treatment. Using Osteopathic techniques, we have developed our own unique snoring treatment that was covered in both the local and national press. Meet the Owner 🤝

My name’s Simon, and I’m the owner of The Croydon Osteopathic Practice.
I’ve had the clinic 21 years and qualified in 2002 so have been an Osteopath for 22 years.

My main sport is table tennis. I’ve been playing local league for 11 years. I used to play as a junior but gave up at age 17.
I didn’t know anyone in Croydon so I joined a local club and it changed my life! My nickname at the club is Batman as I buy far too many bats!
I’ve played in Cambodia, Vietnam and Austria. I’m a loyal Arsenal supporter. I love tennis, especially Wimbledon.

Lifestyle-wise, I’ve struggled with my weight all my life until I tried intermittent fasting and I lost 49lbs in 4 months. Still kept it off over a year later. I follow Dr Steven Gundry in having a low Lectin diet. I also prefer keto but it’s not for everyone!
