Rowland Brothers International (RBI) has been at the heart of global funeral repatriation since 1971. RBI was established when holiday companies recognised the need for a commercial repatriation strategy to reunite loved ones with their families after a fatal tragedy abroad. Our seventh generation family funeral directors have organised repatriation for families, insurance and assistance companies, corporations, government departments, airlines and funeral directors for over 45 years. Our international repatriation service transports the deceased all over the world from any destination to any destination. Our Accreditations
ITIJ Ancillary Assistance Service Provider of the Year 2016
We have been the official helpline for The National Association of Funeral Directors and its members for 15 years. In June 2016 the company was the first funeral director in the UK to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. Our organisation has been signposted in FCO literature as being one which may be able to provide support and advice to British nationals who need the services of an international funeral director.

'One of the first questions families often ask is about cost. And it’s understandable, on top of grief, financial worries can feel overwhelming.

The truth is, every repatriation is different, and expenses depend on distance, local regulations, and other practicalities. What never changes, though, is our commitment to transparency and compassion. We’ll always explain the options clearly and guide families through the process.

If you’re worried about repatriation costs, we’re here to talk it through.

Today, we pause to reflect on the impact of Alzheimer’s, a condition that affects millions of people and families worldwide.

Alzheimer’s Awareness Day is a reminder not only of the challenges faced by those living with the condition but also of the importance of compassion, understanding and continued support for families and carers.

Together, we can raise awareness, break down stigma and ensure no one feels alone on their journey with Alzheimer’s.

In a crisis, every second counts. This Emergency Services Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NHS, paramedics, police and all first responders whose courage and dedication save lives daily.

112 = Emergencies Only
112 is the international standard emergency number, now used in over 100 countries worldwide.

In the UK, calling 112 connects you to the same emergency services as 999 – police, fire, ambulance and coastguard – and it works in exactly the same way. Neither number has priority, so you can safely use either to reach help.

The key difference is that 112 works across borders. If you are travelling in Europe or many other parts of the world, dialling 112 will connect you to local emergency services, ensuring that help is always just a call away.

At Rowland Brothers International, we’re proud to support families during critical moments, ensuring compassionate care and seamless repatriation when it's needed most.

World Humanitarian Day.

Because we believe that in times of need, we need each other.

This World Humanitarian Day we are reflecting on global solidarity and how we can help people in crisis maintain their dignity and humanity.

At Rowland Brothers International we are here to ensure that anyone who has gone away and passed in such tragedies are returned home with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Not everything about repatriation can be learned in a textbook.

That’s why we host Educational Days.

We share real-world experience, answer the hard questions, and help teams feel more prepared when a death occurs abroad. Because families need more than policy, they need empathy, clarity, and calm.

On International Safe Places to Work Day, we’re also reminding people that emotional safety matters too. When staff feel supported, they can support others better.

You’re on the phone with a foreign embassy,
searching for flights,
wondering if the paperwork went through.

Meanwhile, you’re grieving.
This isn’t just about logistics.
It’s about love, loss, and trying to do the right thing when the world’s upside down.

We see it.
We’ve lived it with families.
We’re here to make that weight a little lighter.

To every family who’s trusted us.
To every partner who’s helped make things happen behind the scenes.
To every quiet moment of gratitude we’ve witnessed, thank you.

Today, on National Thank You Day, we want to pause and recognise the people who make our work possible.

Supporting families through loss, especially across borders, is never simple. But it’s always meaningful. And it’s the people we work with, and work for, who remind us why we do it.

On National Bereaved Parents Day, we stand with every parent who has lost a child, whether recently or many years ago.

Grief like this isn’t something you “get over.” It changes everything. And when loss happens far from home, it can add even more confusion and heartbreak.

We see that pain. We never rush it.
And if your family ever needs support with repatriation, we’ll walk that path gently, one step at a time.

Age doesn’t take away a person’s value or story. We’ve helped families repatriate loved ones of all ages, from centenarians who lived full lives to those lost too soon.

This month is a reminder: every life matters, and every goodbye should be treated with respect.
