At Shirley Oaks Hospital, patient safety, transparency and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do every day. 💙

Our Director of Clinical Services, Rosie, recently brought our teams together with a quiz to reinforce learning around our outstanding incident investigation process and response in line with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).

The PSIRF approach supports meaningful engagement with patients and colleagues, clear communication, and identifying system-wide improvements, all of which reflect Circle Health Group’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.

As a responsible healthcare provider, we are always looking at ways in which we can improve the care we provide to our patients.

Today we’re taking a moment to say a huge thank you to our wonderful pharmacists here at Shirley Oaks Hospital - and to pharmacists everywhere!

Pharmacists play a crucial role in patient care — using their expert knowledge to ensure medicines are safe, effective, and right for each individual. They work closely with our clinical teams and are always there to support and reassure patients, often behind the scenes but always making a difference.

Sina (right), our Clinical Service Manager, has dedicated her life to being a pharmacist for an incredible 34 years and has worked here at Shirley Oaks Hospital for 15 years. Arti (left) has been a pharmacist for 15 years and both Arti & Sina are supported by pharmacist, Olukemi.

We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication, expertise, and care our pharmacists bring to Shirley Oaks Hospital every day. 💙

Christmas Jumper Day at Shirley Oaks Hospital, Croydon ✨
We’re feeling very festive here at reception as we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day last week! Led by our Executive Director, Jacob Bloor (and for those with eagle eyes, yes, his tie and hanky perfectly match the blue decorations on our Christmas tree!), some of our wonderful team came together to share a smile and some Christmas cheer.

It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to have such a caring team, all working hard for our local community, especially at this special time of year.

BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital is a private hospital located in Shirley Village close to the Croydon city centre. Our hospital team is dedicated to providing you with supportive treatment and recovery in comfortable surroundings.

Our facilities: We have 27 inpatient bedrooms, 10 consulting rooms three theatres (one with laminar flow), a JAG accredited endoscopy suite, ambulatory care unit and imaging services (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound). We provide services for Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Men’s Health, physiotherapy, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Cardiology and breast screening clinics.
