Our Story
Rita McAlonan helps children and adults using a number of therapies. Her expertise is supporting children and the families of children who have emotional challenges. Many of the children Rita helps have a diagnosis of ASD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, ADD and/or Selective Mutism. Many of the children or young people are living their lives in a state of high Anxiety and Stress. Rita integrates a number of therapies to ensure the right support for each of her clients.
Rita has had many challenges through her own life and found these therapies to help her and also her own family. As a mother of a child with specific learning difficulties (SPLD), she started a journey many years ago to help her son learn in the classroom and to be able to cope with the anxieties that go hand in hand with a SPLD in many aspects of day to day life. We aren’t born with all the answers and it’s difficult as a parent to see any of our children suffer. In order to help our children, we also need to ‘look at our own stuff!’ and this is where Rita can really support you and your children. It is often the case that:
There is no shame in not having all the answers and asking for help!
