🌨 Winter Blues & Festive Support from Barnsley Carers & Loved Ones Affected By Cancer Social & Support Group 🌟

As the nights draw in and the weather turns colder, many of us start to feel the effects. Lower mood, tiredness, or just that “winter slump.” For some, this time of year can be especially hard, facing family illness, cancer, loss, or missing loved ones at Christmas. 💙

I want you to know, you’re not alone. Our community is here to support one another through the darker months. Together, we can share thoughts, feelings, and kindness, and remind each other that there’s warmth even in the coldest season. ❄️

✨ Join us for some friendly festive sessions!
We’ll have space to chat, connect, and enjoy a bit of fun and laughter while supporting one another through what can be a tough time of year. Whether you need a listening ear or just some company and cheer, you’ll be very welcome. ❤️

Let’s come together, lift each other up, and make this winter a little brighter for everyone. 🌟

Have you heard of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) before?

CBT is one of the most widely used and successful talking therapies offered for a range of mental health problems. The 'Hot-Cross Bun' Model serves as a valuable tool in CBT sessions. Therapists and clients can use this model to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, explore the emotional and physical responses associated with those thoughts, and develop strategies to modify behaviors that maintain distress.
If you're interested in finding out more about CBT, or self-referring to our service, please visit our website at https://barnsley-talkingtherapies.nhs.uk/how-we-can-help.../
