There’s still time to vote in this year’s Moray & Banffshire Heroes Awards. We’re proud to sponsor Carer of the Year and help recognise the paid and unpaid carers who make such a difference every day.

Our MD, Ron Taylor, a former carer himself, says:
“Carers make a huge difference every day, whether they’re professional care workers or family members supporting loved ones. Their compassion and dedication often go unseen. So, if you know someone who goes above and beyond, please nominate them and show them that you care.”

Nominations close at midnight on Sunday 1 February.

Happy New Year to all! We had Anne McArthurs dancers in at the weekend which delighted the residents. Yesterday we ended 2025 with a wee dram while watching the Edinburgh tattoo sparking memories for some who have been there in person or just by talking about the tartans and bagpipes.

As 2025 comes to a close, we look back on a year of progress across the Parklands group.

From opening our new 58 bed Pittyvaich care home in Inverness to launching new partnerships with Highland Hospice and Mikeysline, it has been a year marked by investment in the communities and people we serve. We have also been proud to receive multiple awards recognising our work in wellbeing, innovation and community impact and, of course, we are delighted that our sister home Eilean Dubh in Fortrose was named Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland.

Thank you to our teams, residents, families and communities for everything you do. We look forward to what 2026 will bring.

As 2025 comes to a close, our Managing Director Ron Taylor reflects on a landmark year for Parklands and looks ahead to what’s next.

"I'm just as passionate now as I was 32 years ago when I started the business. We're always looking for ways to improve and deliver the best care possible for our residents," says Ron.

Watch him reflect on the year's key milestones, and what we have in store for 2026 ⬇️

Wishing our residents, families and followers a very Merry Christmas. We hope the day brings plenty of smiles, good company and a little festive magic.

A special thank you to our care teams who are spending Christmas with residents, away from their own families. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.

From all of us at Parklands, have a wonderful Christmas.
