The Welly Walkers visited us yesterday on world bee day, so we had a bee themed morning with a bee fact story book and we painted logs to turn into bee hotels for our garden. And there was singing throughout the home as the children popped into say hello to residents in their rooms too! We were defiantly busy bees on world nee day

This afternoon we held a Tartan Tea Party fund raising for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. 5 of our residents got to work this morning making cherry & white chocolate, and cinnamon &fruit scones for our music afternoon. We opened up the bar so it was good old fashioned tea or a we bit of a tipsy tea party. Our collection box is there till Friday if anyone wants to help add to our efforts.

We went to Rothiemay Hall today to support the Primary schools coffee morning. it was extremely busy, what a wonderful support this small community gives. we were entertained by Highland dancers from Brenda Gordon’s school of dance and some of the dancers came over to say hello and show off their amazing dance outfits.

We’re proud to share that Parklands has been shortlisted for four national Stars of Social Care Awards ⭐

The nominations recognise the care, compassion and teamwork shown across our homes every day.

Glenisla Care Home has been shortlisted in the Above and Beyond category, while Innis Mhor Manager Kate Walker and Head Cook Fiona Ross have both been recognised for their dedication to residents and person-centred care.

The Parklands group has also been named a finalist in the Outstanding Care Home Provider category.

We also want to recognise the many residents in our homes who once dedicated their own lives to nursing and caring for others. 🩺 🏥
