The Pilates Club

The Pilates Club Regular pilates practise can help improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility and relief FIRST CLASS IS FREE!

I am offering Pilates classes in Bradninch, Cullompton, Uffculme, Culmstock and one to one sessions. Come and join a friendly class suitable for all ages, abilities and feel the benefits. Classes are limited so booking is essential. Classes are available at:

MONDAY’S Bradninch Guildhall 10-11am
TUESDAY’S Cullompton Community College 6.15pm-7.15pm
THURSDAY’S Uffculme Village Hall 6.30pm-7.30pm
THURSDAY’S Culmstock Village Hall 7.50pm-8.50pm

✨ This week in Pilates… Magic Circle Week ✨

This week we’re working with the magic circle — a brilliant prop for finding deep strength, control and connection. Expect that satisfying Pilates burn as muscles switch on, posture improves and everything feels a little more supported and intentional.

We’ll be using the ring to:
• Build strength without impact
• Improve alignment and body awareness
• Add challenge in a controlled, mindful way
• Wake up those deep stabilising muscles 🔥

We’ll also be finishing each class with a short guided switch-off — a couple of minutes to slow the breath, settle the nervous system and leave feeling calm, grounded and reset.

✨ This Week’s Pilates Focus: The Soft Ball ✨

This week in class we’re using the soft ball to add extra challenge, support and connection to our Pilates practice 💫

The soft ball is brilliant for:
• Improving core engagement
• Activating inner thighs and glutes
• Supporting spinal alignment
• Increasing body awareness and control

We’ll use it to both assist and challenge movement, allowing exercises to be adapted while still feeling deeply effective.

✨ Expect a full-body session that leaves you feeling strong, lengthened and energised. ✨

✨ This week’s Pilates theme: Strength with space to stretch ✨

This week in class we’re moving through a band-based Pilates circuit, using both a hip resistance band and a long resistance band to create a full-body workout that feels strong, balanced and beautifully stretched.

The magic?
🔥 A focused toning exercise
🌿 Followed by a delicious stretch
🔁 Repeated throughout the class to ignite & fatigue the muscles 💪🏻

So while we’re:
• Strengthening arms, glutes and core
• Challenging stability and control
• Building deep, functional strength

We’re also:
• Lengthening tired muscles
• Releasing hips and spine
• Keeping the body mobile and open

Expect roll backs, chest flys, seated arm work, glute burners, core work and side-lying strength — all softened with stretches in between so nothing ever feels rushed or jammed.

It’s strong without being brutal.
Toning without being tight.
And the kind of class where you leave feeling worked, taller and looser than when you arrived ✨

✨ Festive feels in Uffculme tonight ✨
The Christmas tree was lit, the candles were glowing, and the whole hall had that magical cosy energy. Honestly… all the feels. 🎄🕯️

In class tonight we got to work with our weighted balls —controlled, targeted moves that really woke up those muscle groups. Such a gorgeous way to move as we head into the season.

👻✨ Halloween Eve Pilates in Uffculme! ✨🎃

Tonight’s class came with all the atmosphere — pumpkins glowing, an eclectic Halloween playlist setting the tone, and even the doors joining in with a few ghostly appearances of their own 👀💨

We flowed through a circuit-style Pilates session, and everyone brought such brilliant energy to the mat — the perfect mix of strength, breathwork and a little spooky spirit!

It’s Halloween week and we’re mixing things up with a Pilates Circuit. Kicking things off in Bradninch on Monday — expect energy, flow and a full-body strength burn 💪🧡

Then we’ll slow things down on Thursday in Uffculme with Candlelight Pilates — calm, controlled and the perfect way to reset before the weekend 🕯️✨

This week in class we’re bringing in a little extra challenge — the reformer band 💪✨

It’s such a simple prop, but it completely transforms the workout — think deeper core engagement, sculpted arms, and a whole lot of control and connection.

We’ll be weaving it into all our sessions this week, with our next stop in Uffculme for tomorrow’s candlelight class - the perfect way to flow, stretch and reset. 🌙🕯️
