These are our some of our remembrance crafts from last week

We spent the week thinking about the past we did a war time quiz made our own wreaths and other poppies decorations watched the parade for Remembrance Day and enjoyed our regular piano player play war time songs for us all to enjoy

We’re so proud to announce that Jessica is a finalist for the National Activity Providers Association activity provider of the year

✨ We’re thrilled to announce the finalists for the Margaret Butterworth Award at the National Activity Awards!

These finalists have shown creativity, dedication and best practice in activity provision – a huge congratulations to all.

🌾🚜It’s harvest time 🚜🌾
We have been celebrating the harvest here at CVCC with many great activities!!

We enjoyed our harvest supper where we invited friends and family’s of the residents to join us for a wonderful evening of events! The night began with harvest hymns performed by our very own residents choir followed by live music from our regularly guitarist while we dove into a ploughman’s supper with a glass of our favourite tipple. It was a pleasure to host everyone who attended.

We then were graced with a beautiful harvest service from Ed the vicar from St Andrews church witch was loverly for all those residents who are no longer able to make it to church each weekend

🍻🍻It’s Oktoberfest !!! 🍻🍻

This afternoon we have enjoyed a glass or beer ( or lemonade ) listened to German oompah music taken a German language quiz enjoyed German foods and “played pass the stein” it’s been a great afternoon for all that come down to celebrate!!!

It took a while but we have made our very own pressed flower bookmarks from the gardens here at CVCC !!!

A few weeks ago we picked and pressed flowers from our flower garden here at CVCC
And now we have organised and placed then in a design for bookmarks for the residents to keep

This is an activity straight from our garden to celebrate NAPA’s Arts in Care Homes

🇺🇸Last week was the 4th of July 🇺🇸

We enjoyed American themed snacks sweets and fizzy drinks 🥤 🍬🍫

We made a usa flag and even coulees in a map and some famous landmarks!!! 🗽🌆🌉

We even watched back to the future as our USA themed film 🎥🍿

Friday the 20th is our annual summer fair!!

3:00- cvcc residents choir opening ceremony
3:15- stalls open
4:15- bbq opens
4:30- Andrew the guitarist
6:00- the raffle
7:00 - wrap up and head home

We will have a bbq with burgers and sausages and drinks available
