Last week at CVCC

We started the week off with some bingo! Two lucky ladies won one two and the full hose gathering three prizes each!

Mid week we enjoyed our regular movement to music group as well as a special visit from a new singer. With outfit changes through the eras and songs we all sang along to this was a great boost and a musical mid week!

Later in the week we made the most of the sun spending time in the garden, we did some colouring read some magazines and just had a good old gossip while planting some tomato’s and cucumbers in our new mini greenhouse!

To end the week our favourite country singer Everay came in and performed to us all!

Many thanks to all our entertainers you are all well loved by our residents!!!

Last week we focused on world art day !!
We made a large collage of the earth as well as smaller paintings
Everyone at cvcc loves some arts and crafts so this was a big hit

We also had a visit from our regular pianist Claire who performed beautifully for our residents,

Along with having a few tough games of scrabble and snakes and ladders our board game club saw a new resident join their mix which was wonderful and always welcome

Round the rooms the ladies enjoyed having their nails painted and the library trolly made an appearance!!

This week at CVCC

At the beginning of the week we enjoyed bunny ear hoopla game as well as just some poses with the ears on

Mid week we spent doing Easter crafts colouring eggs, making bunnies and using wool and cardboard to decorated Easter eggs

We enjoyed a visit from St Andrews church for our Easter service thankyou to all the volunteers that came in support

And we rounded off the week with a loverly performance from Everay with the residents singing, dancing and playing along with their instruments.

Also through the week we enjoyed movement to movement, knit and natter, choir practice, board games, colouring in the rooms, shop trolly and library book trolly

Last week at CVCC

We prepared for St Patrick’s day with some shamrock crafts

We then celebrated with a Guinness 0.0% and watched river dance on our interactive table

We enjoyed the sun out in our local community and even walked round the town market

We planted our summer bulbs,sweet peas,hollyhocks,sunflower seeds,pansies and hyacinths.

Also though the week we had Bingo with Easter prises, movement to music session as well as Knit and natter daily arts and crafts, jigsaws, books magazines and board games

These are our some of our remembrance crafts from last week

We spent the week thinking about the past we did a war time quiz made our own wreaths and other poppies decorations watched the parade for Remembrance Day and enjoyed our regular piano player play war time songs for us all to enjoy

We’re so proud to announce that Jessica is a finalist for the National Activity Providers Association activity provider of the year

🌾🚜It’s harvest time 🚜🌾
We have been celebrating the harvest here at CVCC with many great activities!!

We enjoyed our harvest supper where we invited friends and family’s of the residents to join us for a wonderful evening of events! The night began with harvest hymns performed by our very own residents choir followed by live music from our regularly guitarist while we dove into a ploughman’s supper with a glass of our favourite tipple. It was a pleasure to host everyone who attended.

We then were graced with a beautiful harvest service from Ed the vicar from St Andrews church witch was loverly for all those residents who are no longer able to make it to church each weekend

This afternoon we have enjoyed a glass or beer ( or lemonade ) listened to German oompah music taken a German language quiz enjoyed German foods and “played pass the stein” it’s been a great afternoon for all that come down to celebrate!!!
