Happy World Kindness Day!
Kindness comes in many different shapes and sizes. A small act of kindness can have a ripple effect and may even last longer in someone’s memory than other events. That friendly neighbour who helps to put your bins out, the teacher that took the time to chat to you on the playground, the colleague that made you a cup of tea – they can form small warm memories. An act of kindness towards others also improves our own lives, so it is a double win!
Today I also invite you to think about kindness towards yourself. Are you being kind towards yourself? What flavour and tone is your inner monologue? Is there room for cutting yourself some slack and being gentler and more compassionate with yourself? What is it that you need today?
