We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful community around us and want to thank you for every visit and all the all the moments you’ve made with us.

If you fancy popping in over the festive period, our door is always open. There's always a cuppa with your name on it and plenty of people who'd love to see you.

An evening of Irish dancing 💚

We really enjoyed welcoming a group of young dancers into the home. The music started and we were tapping and dancing along!

Alex loved every minute, listening to the music and chatting with the dancers afterwards. Chloe and Jean thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was one of those evenings that felt genuinely uplifting for everyone.

We’re creating a community art gallery here at Cumbernauld Care, using historic photos of our local area to reminisce and open conversations.

Many of our residents love seeing familiar streets, buildings and moments from the past. These images unlock stories and so we’re inviting our local community to help us create an art gallery at our care home, using your old photos.

If you have digital copies of photographs showing life in Cumbernauld or Glasgow, we’d be delighted if you could share them with us. We’ll print and display them around our home so everyone can reminiscence together.

Thank you for helping us turn our shared history into an ongoing celebration of our local area.

Christmas stories and special letters at Cumbernauld Care this week. 💌

There's something lovely about watching friendships flourish. Earlier this week, George and Lourie spent the afternoon sharing their favourite Christmas stories together.

We also had a wonderful time opening Christmas letters from new penpals with Ronnie, George and Murray. Ronnie was excited to discover his letter came from a fellow Rangers fan. George was fascinated to learn his letter had travelled all the way from New South Wales in Australia.

These moments of connection are what the festive season is all about. 🎄

Ronnie, Alex, Ian and Olive absolutely loved their recent Friday workout session with Burns Gym Glasgow.

A huge thank you to Jie and Tony who always bring such a wonderful energy and motivation to get our bodies moving. We always feel fantastic after every session.

Meet our lovely Lourie. 💕

Lourie's caring nature shines through when she's with her doll.

Research shows how doll therapy can be incredibly beneficial for those living with dementia. It provides a sense of purpose and connection and it's beautiful to see the contentment it can bring.

The gentle smile on Lourie's face says it all.

🎃 Halloween at Cumbernauld Care. 🎃

We spent the day enjoying everything from pumpkin decorating to music and a fitness session.

William chose the colours for his pumpkins and enjoyed some one-to-one time with a cuppa, a chat and a bit of indoor gardening.

Lourie joined in with arts and crafts, fitness and a singalong.

Kim’s pumpkin-themed fitness session set the tone, and everyone made it feel light-hearted and fun.

A brilliant Halloween day round. 💛
