It's been a full week this week....

Despite our office getting a flood (burst pipe)....💧💦🌨️ We are still smiling ☺️

Last weekend the team helped put down laminate flooring & put on wall panels in a house.... even at the weekend, helping out ❤️🙏🛠️

❤️ Monday - Peep - our little peeps enjoying an interactive session. ... meanwhile our well-being session in the morning. Then our Women's Group in the afternoon, exploring journalling and it's benefits📚 & Badminton at Catrine Games Hall Trust Registered Charity - Sco50067 🏸 Then our Family support group at night.

❤️ Tuesday - Digital drop in session in the morning, Recovery Skills in afternoon. Partnership meeting with SPS. Personal Development Group at night exploring why we hold onto items & the past.

❤️ Wednesday - Breakfast group (busy as always ☕), Mumo recovery group in afternoon & Camerado living room.

❤️ Thursday - Coloursplash art group alongside Nhs throughout the day, Camerado living room in afternoon and college for some in the evening.

❤️ Friday - Clubbercise with Laura Pagan in morning, football ⚽ with Cjce in afternoon & Association of Camerados living room in afternoon.

Also.... Various uplifts and deliveries of items across our community and emergency/crisis support provided.

Our team would like to thank everyone for sharing their time with us & for continuing to turn to us when support is needed.... Thank you for allowing us to be alongside you 🙏❤️

We have an event that day/night so..... We return for mindfulness on Friday 30th January & we look forward to seeing you then ❤️🙏

Our Family support group is restarting next Monday 12th January.

Is a loved one, friend, family member facing challenges with addiction? Do you need someone to talk to? Would you like some support?

We have a family group at The Nest each Monday evening. We previously didn't advertise the group to protect the anonymity of its members, however, realised that we are doing the community a disservice by not letting them know it's available.

The group is a safe, confidential & supportive group offering support & guidance.

Happy New Day.....every day is a fresh opportunity to be alive, to celebrate, to reflect & remember loved ones.

Every day is a new day to begin.... To set goals, to consider hopes & aspirations, every day is a day to be grateful.

This morning we popped down to the bus stands after noticing a lot of glass broken. Someone asked why we would do this on New Year's Day....why not? It took just under an hour & we were in the right place at the right time to help someone (the universe knows 😉❤️).

Whatever you are doing today The Nest family wishes your day to be filled with love & blessings. If it's grey or dark in your world remember there are glimmers of light 🌟❤️🙏

Wellbeing & support doesn't stop because of a date in the year 🙃

At The Nest we have been ensuring there is a space for connection, friendship & support over the Christmas period.

Our breakfast group and Association of Camerados was a hive of activity today with over 65 people popping in. .. the kids were painting, building & playing.... while the bigger kids were chatting, eating & having a music quiz 🎶🎶

A huge thanx for our volunteers cooking, serving, providing tea & coffee ☕.....and a huge thank you to those who genuinely love and respect The Nest & share their time with us ❤️

Our team was out collecting & delivering furniture today on top of everything else.

There're a number of things we do not & can't share.. . behind the scenes there is support given that remains private so it's a dignified support. Since Monday we have supported & dealt with 10 real crisis situations. The ones we can't talk about or share details of.... Where real supportive support was needed..... Where 9am to 5pm just couldn't apply.... Where emergency support was given, where lives were saved (literally). Why share that at all?? Not for a funding application, not for ego....not for congratulations or for thanks.....but so we hope you understand that if we don't call you back immediately...or we don't arrive for a collection of furniture on time, please know it's because someone really needs us. We are a small team, 3 staff & the rest volunteers.....we are doing our best❤️

Yes, it's been a tough week, there have been tears....frustration, worry , oh & a wee bit tiredness🫩....Amongst it all though there have been moments of joy, laughter... Of gratitude... Of real human connection! Moments of reflection. We are so very grateful at The Nest for ALL of it. Even in the tough moments we are truly privileged to walk alongside people in our community who need us & allow us to be with them in the most challenging moments of their life.
