This weeks “meet the team” is our resident chatter box, Lindsey!

Lindsey has been with Shaw Eyecare for over 18 years and currently works as our frame buyer, selecting all the wonderful frames for you all to enjoy! 👓🕶️

Lindsey’s main enjoyment is helping our patients to choose their perfect pair of glasses, as well as having a good blether at the same time! 😅

Out of work, Lindsey loves to spend time with her family and her little frenchie, Arthur. 🐶

👀 The new clinical director of Shaw Eyecare in Cumnock has sent out a warning to promote good eye health.

📱 Kids across the area have been urged to "ditch the devices" as part of a nationwide screen amnesty.

Next up is our Optometrist, Jack!

Jack originally joined Shaws as an Optometry student in 2018 and worked on the reception and helping in the lab.👓🧑‍🏫

Jack went on to qualify in 2023 and moved through into the test rooms of both Cumnock and Mauchline.

Jack loves sport and is a long term rugby fan 🏉although a recent knee injury means he is now retired 🤕 As well as his love for sport, he also enjoys travelling the world to see as many new places as possible.✈️

As our Cumnock practice re-fit is in full swing, we realise many of our Cumnock patients may be visiting our Mauchline practice for the first time.

So here are some handy bits of information about our Mauchline practice:

🏫 We are located at 3 Earl Grey Street, near the traffic lights at the cross.
📞 The telephone number is 01290 551466.
🕰️ We are open 9-5.30 Monday to Friday, other than Tuesday, when we open at 9.30.
Mauchline closes for lunch between 1.15-1.45.
🅿️ Parking is famously not so easy in Mauchline, however there is a car park a short walk from the practice on Loudon Street.

Reminder that our Cumnock practice will close at 4pm tomorrow, 11th September, and will reopen at 11am on Wednesday 24th September!

If you have any glasses or contact lenses to collect from Cumnock, please feel free to pop in either today or tomorrow before 4pm. Otherwise all will be available to collect from our Mauchline practice!

👁️Exciting news!!👁️

We are delighted to announce that our Cumnock practice is due to receive a long awaited refurbishment.👷🏻‍♂️👷🏻‍♀️

The practice will close from 4pm on Thursday 11th September and will reopen at 11am Wednesday 24th September.

In this time, our practice in Mauchline remains open as normal, and will also be open Saturday 13th September to deal with any queries. 👓

We are looking forward to welcoming our patients back into the new and updated practice later this month. 😍
