Travel Update – University Hospital Crosshouse

Please note there are roadworks near the entrance to Crosshouse Hospital which are expected to last around 8 weeks.

Temporary traffic lights and a single eastbound lane closure on the B7081 will be in place during the works.

Please make sure to allow extra time for your journey.

If you’re delayed getting to your vaccination clinic, our team will still vaccinate you when you arrive.

🚨 Beware of Scam Calls About Community Alarms 🚨
If you or someone you know uses our Community Alarm Service, please take care.

We’ve had reports of scammers calling customers, claiming they can replace alarm boxes and asking for bank details to change direct debits. This is a scam. Our Billing and Payments Team issues annual invoices by post, and while we may occasionally phone clients about their Community Alarm service, we will NEVER ask for financial information over the phone.

If you are concerned about the billing for your Community Alarm:

Stay Safe in Icy Conditions

Recent cold weather has led to a rise in slips and trips across Ayrshire. Fluctuating temperatures can cause black ice, which is hard to spot. Please take extra care when out and about:

- Wear footwear with good grip
- Allow extra time for your journey
- Check weather updates before heading out

By taking these simple steps, we can reduce injuries and help ease pressure on local health services during these challenging winter conditions.

👉 Read more about taking positive steps to avoid trips and falls on our Winter Health Hub here: https://www.nhsaaa.net/services/services-a-z/healthhub/

As always, thank you so much to Alan Rudd (Centre Manager) and everyone at Burns Mall for your continued support. 👏🥰

The loss of someone close to us who has taken their own life can be overwhelming and can leave us feeling lost, sad, angry or confused.

All of these feelings are normal, but sometimes we worry that we are not coping well and we can feel alone in our grief.

Creating Hope is a safe and confidential space for you to share and explore these feelings with others who have also experienced a bereavement and can offer you peer support. 💜

The group will run at Stewarton Annick Youth and Community Association over a 7-week programme, commencing Monday 12th January and ending Monday 2nd March 2026.

Group participants are limited to 12 people, aged 14 years and over.
