All GP Practices, most dentists and community pharmacies have public holiday closures on Friday 19 September and Monday 22 September. Some community pharmacies will remain open during this period and can answer questions on choosing and using the right medicine and provide advice on treating everyday ailments. NHS 24 also has a number of pharmacists who are able to answer medicine and pharmacy-related questions over the telephone on 111.

Hello!

We have received this communication today regarding the price of mounjaro

Eli Lilly has announced a significant price increase for Mounjaro (tirzepatide) across the UK private market, effective from 1ªt September 2025. This change does not affect NHS prescriptions but will impact our private weight management service and patient affordability.
To support continuity of care and manage patient expectations, the following has been agreed:

Price Freeze for Existing Patients
• Rowlands patients currently on Mounjaro, as well as those who initiate treatment prior to 31st August, will benefit from a price freeze until 30th September, ensuring continuity of care during this transitional period.

Pricing from 1st September
• The £30 off promotional discount for new patients will be discontinued.
The existing price of £169 will be maintained for new patients starting on the 2.5mg dose.
