When you find a venue that goes above and beyond with the details you leave very happy. Many venues think that access requires a large expenditure but this is not true. The biggest help I have found in being physically at a venue is the staff and their level of knowledge.

With my carers hat on I find a good day to be one that I am not exhausted at the end of it and have managed to feel like we have had a family day out. So huge shout out to Edinburgh Castle for training your staff so well in what is a difficult location to make accessible

Following on from the debacle at COP26, it seems inconceivable that this has occurred yet, as shown time and time again, information for the disabled and their carers is seldom provided.

With an Isreali minister being denied access to the COP26 this week, disabled people say they feel excluded from the climate talks.
