🌿 Mini Sessions Available at Middlefield Wellness Centre 🌿

Hi everyone, just a quick update! I had originally blocked off my calendar for an event this week that I was meant to be participating in, unfortunately it isn’t heppening.

But since plans have changed, I’m excited to offer those same mini wellness sessions right here at Middlefield Wellness Centre over the next couple of days.

If you’re interested in a 30-minute taster session to find a bit of calm and balance, I’d love to welcome you. And for anyone who prefers, I’m also happy to offer remote sessions.

To book in-person sessions click the link below https://book.titan.email/middlefieldwellnesscentre

To book a remote sessions email me at

Feel free to reach out to book your spot. I’m looking forward to seeing some of you soon!

Warmly,
Gail

Your cranial nerves don’t just keep you alive, they help you thrive.

When they sense safety, they shift your body into “social engagement mode,” making it easier to connect, laugh, digest, and heal. When they sense danger, those functions go on pause until safety is restored.

Healing starts when your nervous system feels safe.

Hearing well isn’t just about your ears, it’s also about tiny muscles inside them.

Your trigeminal (CN V) and facial (CN VII) nerves help fine-tune sound by tightening or relaxing ear muscles. This protects you from loud noise and helps you focus on the right sounds, like someone’s voice in a noisy room.

Your body is always adapting to keep you safe, even when you don’t notice.

Think your eyes control what you see? Think again.

Three cranial nerves control your eye movements (III, IV, VI), and another (II) sends the visual signals to your brain. Without them, finding food or spotting danger would be impossible.

The way you look around your environment says a lot about how safe your nervous system feels.

Chewing isn’t just about breaking food down, it’s your cranial nerves kicking digestion into gear.

Saliva starts breaking down starch. Your tongue and cheeks guide food to your teeth. And the swallow reflex, powered by several cranial nerves, makes sure food heads to your stomach, not your lungs.

Slowing down and chewing well is one of the easiest ways to improve digestion.

Ever smelled something and instantly been transported to a memory?

That’s your olfactory nerve (CN I) at work. It sends smell signals straight to the part of your brain that handles memory and emotion, no detours.

That’s why smells can make you hungry, nostalgic, or even warn you of danger in a split second.

What smell brings you your happiest memory?

You have 12 cranial nerves… and all of them help you eat.

From smelling and seeing food, to chewing, swallowing, digesting, and even deciding whether something is safe to eat, your cranial nerves are in charge.

They do a lot more than you think. I’ll be sharing more about them in upcoming posts.

One nerve travels from your brain all the way into your heart, lungs, stomach, and intestines.

It’s called the vagus nerve, and it’s the ultimate multitasker, regulating digestion, heart rate, breathing, and even your voice. If it’s not working well, you can feel it everywhere.

Supporting your vagus nerve might just be the most powerful health choice you make this year.

Your nervous system has one job, to keep you alive.

Deep inside your body, the autonomic nervous system decides if you’re safe or in danger… long before you even think about it. It controls your heartbeat, digestion, breathing, and even your ability to connect with others.

When your nervous system feels safe, your whole body works better. When it doesn’t… symptoms start stacking up.

Is your system in “safe mode” today?
