So this wee beauty arrived through the door!

My poem was long listed for the Scots poetry category for the 'Saint Teneu Poetry Competition 2025'.

As a result I made the final anthology alongside the winning entries!

But to make it even more exciting my poem is in the same book as some of the amazing invited contributors including one of my all time favourite inspirational poets the amazing Rebecca Sharp.

Whoo hoo, how exciting... that's prize enough for me. 😁

Busy weekend for me.... as the 'Voices and Visions of the Witch' exhibition at Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries closes on Saturday, the 'Words from the Wards' exhibition at the Edinburgh International Book Festival opens where my work is on display and illustrated by the wonderful Edinburgh College of Art student Izzy McBroom.

Catch the new exhibition in the Festival Gallery, Edinburgh from Saturday the 9th - Sunday the 17th of August. ✨🤩✨

I'll be at the opening evening ceremony on Sunday the 10th. 🥰

Can't believe this Saturday is the finale of the 'Voices and Visions of the Witch' exhibition at the Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries.

It hardly seems any time ago when I was helping to install it.

The exhibition curator Rowan Morrison from the Creative Coven -1563 will be leading the closing ceremony at 2pm, alongside some of the other exhibitors including myself who'll be doing a poetry reading.

'Words from the Coast', a creative writing project. ✨😁✨

Fife Writes are excited to announce our exciting 'Words from the Coast' project that starts on the 24th of July in the Dreel Halls, Anstruther. This project is part of the The Village Creative, a community-led initiative developed in collaboration with Heids and Herts Scotland.

'Words from the Coast' is a creative writing project designed to immerse participants in the evocative environment of the coast. Through guided workshops and individual explorations, writers will engage all their senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste - to craft vivid, sensory-driven work exploring different genres of coast-inspired writing, such as poetry, prose, and personal narratives. This project seeks to inspire creativity by encouraging participants to connect with experiences of the coastal landscape and stories of the sea then be invited to channel that inspiration into their writing.

This pay what you can project will run over five fortnightly sessions leading to a final afternoon showcasing the work produced at a Spoken Word / Performance event. See booking link for more details:
