Wishing everyone a happy Easter! It was a special Easter weekend this year as it was Olivier’s birthday yesterday. He would have loved that, as Easter was his favourite celebration. He would probably have had a giant Easter egg hunt birthday party!
Olivier would have turned 9 but he is staying our 5 years old little boy…
Because of Easter we look forward to the future when we will be reunited forever.
We miss you so much Olivier!🌟

This week on Wednesday has marked three years since our sweet little Olivier passed away. Anniversary dates have not got any easier. The day was emotional and we found it difficult to write anything then.

We are grateful to Llanyravon Primary school who held another day in his memory this week, full of maths and Pokemon activities.

Olivier’s memorial was installed last week at the cemetery. Today under a beautiful sunshine, we walked up there with some of our family.

We love you and miss you Olivier! 💙

For all the children and families affected by childhood cancer…. And for the continued research needed, Abbie's Army is a great charity to support.

🎗️February 15th is International Childhood Cancer Day 🎗️
A global campaign run by Childhood Cancer International
The campaign aims to raise awareness about childhood cancer, and express support for children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families.

Among various childhood cancers DIPG/DMG stands out due to its devastating impact, the urgent need for a cure, and the age group of children that it primarily affects.
Progress has been made which is to be celebrated, but this is another reminder that so much more needs to be done!

We wake up every morning missing Olivier…. And this morning we woke up to a day that marked 3 years since Olivier’s diagnosis was announced to us. Already 3 years… We hate the feeling of the time increasing since we last lived our lives normally with our lively boy. That day our lives changed forever. The hope that he would get better was there, how could we possibly loose him?… and then hopes are crushed in only a few months…

Life takes unexpected turns. It feels so unfair… and we have to carry on with our lives, with a constant broken heart.

Cherish every day you have with your loved ones…

Praying for research to be successful, so that future diagnosed children will be able to be cured and families won’t have to suffer such a difficult journey, which sadly doesn’t end well. In memory of Olivier we will continue to support Abbie’s Abbie's Army. Thank you for supporting them too if you can.

Two years on today and it all still feels surreal. Precious memories of our golden boy are mixed with the awful pain that we felt seeing our lovely boy go and the difficulty of having to carry on with our lives without him. Our pain and our grief as big as our love for you Olivier 💙

Thank you to all those who joined us on Sunday for our special walk in memory of Olivier. It was lovely to be surrounded by family and friends. The sun came through as we reached the top of The Blorenge hill. It felt like Olivier was there with us as he always seems to send sun rays at special times. The children blew lots of bubbles back to him 🫧

We miss you, we love you, always and forever 💛

A big thank you to the school for this year’s sponsored walk and math day in memory of Olivier.
Thank you to the teachers, staff and parents who have also joined the walk to look after a big convoy of children who persevered even if some legs or feet ached! Thank you to all those who donated to sponsor the children💙.
Olivier’s tree has now a beautiful plaque and hearing the children sing Easter songs around his tree with the sun shining was very special💙 Olivier loved Easter.
Thank you for the kind words we received throughout this emotional day.

Olivier’s sisters schools have organised fundraising events to support DIPG research in memory of Olivier.

* On 22nd March Aline will participate in a sponsored walk organised by her Primary school - all funds raised will be divided between DIPG research (Abbie’s Army) and Noah’s Ark Children’s hospital charity in Cardiff

* *duck sale ending Monday 18th** Nicole has helped to organise a virtual duck race with her school club “Interact” (they organise and take part in lots of local charitable events) It is like a raffle style event to win an easter egg. There will be 5 races of 30 ducks - 5 winners (virtual race on the 21st March) . 50p per duck and you can enter several ducks! As there is a prize this is more suited to local friends and family.

If you would like to sponsor them, please can you message us here or privately with the amount you would like to donate/ number of ducks if wanted so we can fill their forms. We can then arrange money collection (cash preferred for girls to bring to school)
