Fibromyalgia massage for pain and stiffness

Over the last 15 years fibromyalgia as become a more researched disorder which many symptoms can be relieved with functional medicine and massage

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder of a generally unknown cause. However it can be brought on by various traumas both physical and emotional.
Symptoms are often of wide spread pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep disturbances and I refreshed feeling on waking.
It it established that 2 to 4 % of the population are affected. Woman more than men . Many symptoms can be relieved holistically and more research on holistic methods are proving successful.
Light massage, manipulation and reflexology have proven successful in reducing pain and symptoms.

Symptoms of fibromyalgia include:
Chronic headaches and migraines
Sleep disorders

Cognitive and memory impairment ( brain fog)

The lymphatic system is the only system in the body that is functioned by movement and not pumped
Lymphatic drainage relieves swelling that occurs when illnesses or medical treatment clogs your lymphatic system.
This type of massage involves manipulation in certain areas of the body to move excess fluid build up away from the tissues to the working lymph vessels and nodes to release toxins from the body .
