Barking and Dagenham NHS Talking Therapies Service

Barking and Dagenham NHS Talking Therapies Service Our specialists will discuss the many ways in which we can help you.

What to expect

The Talking Therapies team offers a wide range of free of charge, effective and practical techniques for anyone who is experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, or depression. Through these discussions we will make sure the help offered best matches you current needs and works best for you. This could either be through workshops, group sessions, or guided self-help using workbooks or online resources; or through one-to-one support. You will be in regular contact with your specialist and will be able to evaluate your progress on an ongoing basis. This will help to ensure that we can change our programme if necessary, either to provide more support, or to complete your experience with the Talking Therapies team.

Talk: Reach out to friends, family, or us—we’re here to listen.
Self-Care: Take small steps that bring joy, like a walk, a warm drink, or a favourite hobby.
Kindness: Be kind to yourself. Your mental health matters.
If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. Let’s turn Blue Monday into a day of hope and support.
