George Brooker House

George Brooker House The East London Extra Care Society is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided quality aged care to the local community for over 20 years.

We specialise in providing care to the frail and elderly, and to those with dementia. George Brooker House sits in the heart of the local community in Dagenham, Essex overlooking green parkland. Built in the early nineties, our house was designed specifically to support the needs of older people requiring residential aged care. It offers single accommodation for 44 residents within a homely setting. Our professional team provide a nurturing environment where residents live as independently as possible, cared for with dignity and respect.

Please join us for our strictly come Christmas Bazzar .. on Saturday 6th December from 2pm . For residents and relatives at George brooker house.Entrance fee £5 for adults and £3 for children. We have a tombola, raffle, tv raffle, stalls as always sweets and treats, and a bric a brac stall.. entertainment from 2pm -4pm and then a delicious buffet.. please let activities know asap so we know numbers. What a lovely wholesome weekend we had!
On Saturday we had relaxation and therapy where we were treated to a fresh set of nails and calming hand massages!
Then on Sunday we had music and movement where we got the parachute out and got our bodies moving while listening to our favourite music. In the afternoon we got our minds going with memory games on our tiny table!

The tuck shop turned into memory lane. Today we took a trip down memory lane and visited the old tuck shop today. 🍬 It's still got all the classics! Nothing beats that feeling of picking out your favorite penny sweets and feeling like a kid again. Pure joy in a small paper bag.
