Today we are proud to continue our tradition of supporting Odd Sock Day to raise funds and awareness for Down Syndrome.
The date for World Down Syndrome Day, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was chosen to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome.
Inspired by the amazing son of one of our wonderful managers, we invite you to join us in creating a single global voice to advocate for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down Syndrome.
So get involved today, rock your odd socks in support and help spread the message!

Thank you so much to everyone who has submitted a remembrance candle so far. Our candle initiative will come to an end today (Sunday 15 March).
Candles submitted before 5pm today will be shared on our page on Monday 16 March.
Today, we celebrate all the incredible women who have touched our lives—mothers, grandmothers, stepmums, and those who have stepped into a mothering role with love and guidance.
Our love and thoughts are with those missing their mothers today, mothers who have experienced the loss of a child, and those for whom this day is complicated or painful. We wish you a day of gentle reflection and peace.
If you are visiting a loved one at South Essex Crematorium today, please help yourself to some daffodils. You can find them at the back of the main car park, located under the archway leading through to the Memorial Gardens.

We are saddened to hear that Steve Thompson will be stepping down from his role as Managing Director of Dagenham & Redbridge FC. While we’ve been the club’s main sponsors for 20 years, it’s our 30-year friendship with Steve which truly sits at the heart of our partnership.
Steve’s passion and commitment to the club have been remarkable. He has remained positive through difficult periods, always doing his absolute best for the Daggers. To us, he has been the ‘glue’ which has held the club together through both the good and more challenging times, doing so much behind the scenes.
Being close to Steve, we know the true extent of his incredible dedication and commitment to the club. His community involvement and support for local clubs and organisations are greatly respected by the council, ensuring strong relationships are maintained. His leadership, total commitment and genuine love for the club over such a long time has been the main reason our “small club from Essex” has survived and enjoyed the success it has.
