We have been out and about this week having some fun with our service users for this year’s comic relief. The theme is take yourself funny for money so we were asking them what makes them laugh?

Thanks to all our lovely service users for taking part, your great sports! We hope we gave you a giggle 🤭

🌟Mauds Make A Wish 🌟

Today Megan and myself (Jill) took Maud to Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre for her make a wish. She had a great morning meeting some of the dogs. A big thank you to John for taking the time to introduce us to the dogs and making us feel so welcome. We were unsuccessful in sneaking any home much to Mauds disappointment 😂
We then headed to the Nith Hotel where we had a lovely lunch before heading home the scenic route round the coast. It was a shame about the weather but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits!

Dumfries and Galloway Canine rescue is a charity who do fantastic work looking after these lovely dogs. If you’d like to help please check out their page tagged above for information on food appeals, Amazon wishlist and how to support their upcoming fundraisers. They also have a website www.caninerescue.co.uk. Teddy the Lhasa Apso and Floss the Collie x Spaniel are on there for adoption. Both beautiful dogs 😍

We’re pleased to introduce Stewartry Care as one of our workshop providers visiting next week as part of our BGE Careers Day at Dalbeattie High School.

The care sector is one of the largest areas of employment in Dumfries and Galloway, and Stewartry Care will be with us to showcase the vital work they do and challenge some of the common myths around the caring profession.

Through their workshops, pupils will gain a better understanding of the wide range of roles available, the skills involved, and the rewarding career pathways within care.

We’re looking forward to an informative and eye-opening session that highlights just how important and diverse this sector really is.

⭐️ Extra special mention to our amazing carer Lynn McCaig who celebrated 30years service with Stewartry Care and received a cheque for £500 yesterday too. Thank you Lynn! ⭐️
